It helps food service businesses to improve their planning and forecasting by producing the right amount of food and lowering food waste in the process🍽. 🔹 Action taken: as well as saving money, #Mitakus can also reduce stress, as the decision as to whether the food will be enough for everyone or whether more should be produced (and possibly wasted) becomes easier. 🔹 Key conclusion: the innovation uses historical sales data from different menu lines and then AI identifies patterns. It was a privilege to share the stage with some of the brightest minds in AI and the food industry at the launch of “Food AI: A Game Changer for Australia's food and beverage sector". The 86-page report, edited by Janet McColl-Kennedy (UQ Business School) and Damian Hine (Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI)) provides valuable insights into the role of AI in transforming the industry. During the launch event, we had a great discussion on the challenges and opportunities of implementing AI.
