Navigating the Unknown: TikTok, Chronic illness, and the Power of Vulnerability ✨ 🤷♀️ (I love threes!) The world seems to be on the edge of something big right now with talk of a TikTok ban. It’s wild to think about the impact that platform has had on so many aspects of our lives – from entertainment to education, to the way we share personal stories. Speaking of personal stories… I never imagined I’d go viral, but a few days ago, I posted a TikTok sharing my experience living with a chronic skin condition. I spoke about how flare-ups can leave me uncertain about what I’ll be able to do each day, whether it’s something as simple as getting out of bed or showing up to work. To my surprise, the video took off, sparking conversations with others who face similar struggles. It was humbling and empowering to see so many people resonate with my story – a reminder that we’re all navigating our own battles, often in silence. It also made me reflect on how we all have more in common than we might think. I won’t lie, some days it’s hard. The unpredictability of flare-ups makes it difficult to plan ahead, and that uncertainty can feel isolating. But sharing those vulnerable moments, whether through TikTok or in our daily lives, helps us connect with others who understand, even if we’re just meeting in the middle of a digital space. As TikTok’s future remains uncertain, I can’t help but wonder about the role these platforms play in helping people like me find a voice and build community. Wherever it goes, I think it’s clear: being open and sharing the messy parts of life will always have its place. Maybe Linkedin isn't the place for that, but the imminent ban got me thinkin' 💁♀️ Wanna get to know me a little more? We have been working on many things in the past months. ✔️ Some are purely "mandatory fun" exercises, like launching and growing our YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, website and, of course, LinkedIn. In the background, we ensure all our customer and event activities are on track. And on an even lower deck is our desire to write more. 📝 We had many internal talks about the value of written content and how audiences nowadays are used to fast, loud, and primarily visual sources. Despite that, we'll give it a go. Presenting The Fun Times, our Substack magazine, where Fun Man Andy, Suze Treacy, Teodora Vasileva and their guests will share practical advice, points of views about business, or just vent about random stuff. https://lnkd.in/eQSnhkey

I currently have a Substack account and send out three newsletters a week, each with a different theme (but all tech and productivity related): MONDAY REVIEW - Generally reviewing tech and sometimes other things that pique my interest. WEDNESDAY WISDOM - Tech tips, Productivity advice, Tech news. FRIDAY’S INSIGHT - Sharing stories of my journey as a content creator. Apparently, with Substack, you can have multiple publications under the same account, and folks can subscribe to all or just one. So, my question is: should I ‘split up’ my newsletters or keep them together? I’d love to read your opinions on this. (Substack link - markdkelly.substack.com)

205+ People Have Asked Me This Question. (This isn't about getting leads or high-paying clients.) It's about "engagement and community". Many people ask me, "How are you getting so much traction on your profile?" Here’s my 1:1 strategy you should follow: 1. Engage daily with 6 new small creators. 2. Accept connection request if they’re doing well. 3. Start conversations in DMs & appreciate them. 4. Use audio notes to reply to their questions. 5. Connect with one new person every day and add value. This is one of the most underrated hacks, but many people overlook it. It won’t just increase your traction—it will also: 1. Grab the attention of many new eyes. 2. Build a more supportive community 3. Boost your engagement rates + it makes people feel valued and appreciated. See a post with 0 comments? Add yours first! If you think engaging only with big creators will work—think again. Big creators don’t comment on every one of your posts, but small creators often will. Start today by leaving 5 thoughtful comments on posts. Check your results after 30 days. Excited? Implement it now! Repost & follow these green flags! Preksha Jain Do you support small communities, too?
