It's interesting to see what people accept as their "standard." Seemingly, standards are low. In business, I've seen people accept: Risking money/brand/relationships, for convenience's sake High tenant evictions as "part of the business" High eviction costs associated w/ them A comfortability with outdated systems No responses from client requests Spending $$$ on unadopted tech Possibly because some want to clock in and out? Or maybe they only know what they know. And don't know what they don't? Not sure. But what I've noticed, is that when you raise your own standards, others who do the same "get it" almost immediately. They see the vision, goals, process, etc. Part of that being the need to raise tenant screening standards and how we conduct partnerships. We've re-created the norm. As we focus on finishing 2024 strong and plan for 2025, it’s not enough to just hit all the metrics. These are some of the things we’re asking ourselves.. Did we do what we said we were going to do? Are we delivering a customer experience we’re proud of? Did our valuation clients gain a better understanding of what drives the value of the agency they’ve built? Do our CFO clients have clarity and confidence in their financial decisions throughout the year? Were our clients confident as they set their compensation plan, transitioned ownership, bought a book or sold their agency? Are there different ways we can better serve our clients? Do our clients know how much we care about them? If not, what can we do differently? As you finish 2024 strong and plan for 2025, what do you ask yourself?
