 🚀 Our recent 24-hour Hackathon at Hectre was a smashing success! Last week, our entire company came together for this event, collaborating to create innovative solutions to real customer problems. The atmosphere was buzzing with creativity and comradery as teams worked tirelessly to build their inventions. 💡 The office was filled with positive energy throughout the Hackathon. Teams were constantly dashing across rooms, building different contraptions, and brainstorming ideas. Food and drinks were regularly topped up, and the overall vibe was fantastic to be a part of. 🎉 🏆 The winning team, the Exportinators (Keegan, Leonardo, and Hayden), created a customized payroll export tool to save hours of time, and really showcased their team's ingenuity. Our Hackathon resulted in a range of unique inventions and solutions that could provide real value to our industry, and it was amazing to see the genuine passion each team had. 💪 Special thanks to Minnie and Maya from our Auckland office for organizing the event, and to our speakers Danushka and Kostia who had dropped in to provide insightful presentations, inspiring our teams even further. Thanks also to judges Kevin, Mitali, and Kostia who had the tough job of evaluating each project and deciding who the winning team would be. 🙌 Hectre Hackathon was a huge success, highlighting our team's innovative spirit. 🌲Sharing insights on the amazing start of new journey at Spark New Zealand 🌲 Californian redwoods are not a native tree of New Zealand, but it grows faster in New Zealand’s fertile soil, that’s exactly how I feel about my journey so far at Spark New Zealand Californian redwoods flourish in New Zealand's ideal conditions, much like how Spark's supportive environment has empowered me to excel in a short time of 6 weeks. Thanks to the incredible environment of support, collaboration, and innovation. I have joined Spark 6 weeks back and we have been able to do the following with the amazing support across the board: ✅ Integrated two AI capabilities for review and testing ✅ Third AI capability is under review and discussion ✅ Proof of concept is done for the 4th AI capability ✅ Already working and contributing into other next gen initiatives It’s rare to feel so deeply integrated into an organization so quickly and Spark’s culture truly accelerates growth. From the collaborative teamwork to the openness to innovation, it is a great work culture and environment.
