Dank der von PROTOTEC GmbH & Co. KG 3D-gedruckten Propeller und Shroud, hergestellt mit SLA- und SLS-Technologie, haben wir große Fortschritte erzielt. Die Shroud wurde mit SLA gefertigt, um präzise und detaillierte Geometrien zu erreichen. Die Propeller wurden mittels SLS gefertigt, was komplexe Formen mit hoher Festigkeit und geringem Gewicht ermöglichte. Beide Komponenten wurden mithilfe von CFD selbstentwickelt und optimiert, um die aerodynamische Performance zu steigern. Dies führte zu einer Erhöhung der Downforce um 15-20 %, besonders durch Verbesserungen am Seiten- und Heckflügel. Zudem verschob sich die AeroBalance um 6-7 % nach hinten, was die Fahrdynamik stabiler und präziser machte. Diese Fortschritte verschafften uns auf der Rennstrecke einen entscheidenden Vorteil und hoben unsere Leistung auf ein neues Level. Wir sind stolz auf die Zusammenarbeit mit PROTOTEC GmbH & Co. The shroud was crafted with SLA to achieve precise and detailed geometries. The propellers were made with SLS, allowing for complex shapes with high strength and low weight. Both components were self-developed and optimized using CFD to improve aerodynamic performance. This led to a 15-20% increase in downforce, particularly through improvements to the side and rear wings. Additionally, our aero balance shifted 6-7% rearward, making handling more stable and precise. These advancements gave us a crucial edge on the racetrack and took our performance to the next level. An extract from Koenig-Fachsenfeld’s book, Aerodynamik des Kraftfahrzeugs, published in 1950 - but with all the research carried out in the 1930s. Is there any other area of automotive engineering where testing done over 80 years ago is still so relevant? Koenig-Fachsenfeld writes: "Tuft tests on a flow-friendly 2.5 litre Adler sports car (Cd = 0.25. V = 90 km/h). "The flow is on this vehicle, as can be seen from the position of the tufts, is generally good on the sleek construction. "The low pressure created by the accelerated flow in the throat between the upper and lower part of the rear of the vehicle causes the tufts in the area of the rear wheel cover to bend upwards (zone 10 to 14). "On the rear, the tufts lie down to below the rear window. From there the separation or backflow begins. The disturbance caused by open front wheel arches extends backwards to zone 7 and is also noticeable upwards by the tufts becoming unsteady. "Covering the side of the front wheel arches can help here. "The side cooling air outlet opening in front of the door is a little too big. Therefore, behind it, the tufts flutter in the slow airflow. On the windshield there is a flow that is inclined upwards and outwards. Flow disturbances can also be seen at the door gap, on the rain gutter and behind the door handle. 👉 Wie fertigst du die stabilsten Renndrohnen?💥✅ Renndrohnen müssen regelmäßig brutalen Kollisionen mit erheblichen Geschwindigkeiten standhalten, ohne danach zu versagen - das Rennen muss weiter gehen. Herkömmliche Rahmen für Renndrohnen bestehen in der Regel aus mehreren Einzelkomponenten, die aus Carbon-Faserverbundplatten gefräst und miteinander verschraubt werden. Das Design solcher Rahmen geht dabei stets einen Kompromiss aus Festigkeit, Gewicht und Aerodynamik ein. Das optimale Design eines Renndrohnenrahmens besteht jedoch aus nur einem einzigen Teil, ist extrem leicht, besitzt stromlinienförmige Arme und ist zudem höchst kollisionsresistent. Die Lösung für das Problem ist der 3D-Druck mit dem einzigartigen Carbon Endlosfaser-verstärktem Kunststoff in Leichtbauweise mit den 3D-Druckern von Mark3D - Markforged. Jede Endlosfaser liegt dabei genau in Spannungsrichtung und nur an genau den Stellen, an denen auch wirklich Kräfte wirken. Das Innere der Struktur kann weitestgehend hohl ausgeführt sein – und gleich die notwendigen Motor- und Versorgungsleitungen verbergen, die sonst im Falle einer Kollision häufig durch die sehr schnell drehenden Propeller Schaden nehmen. COLLABORATION: Zenvo Automotive A/S and Aerotak collaborate to optimize #Aurora aero-architecture Danish supercar manufacturer #Zenvo Automotive has developed the new Zenvo Aurora around the concept of an 'equilibrium of extremes', which balances various attributes without compromising on any single aspect. A key element of this process was ensuring that the styling was both aggressive and elegant while maintaining excellent handling and driving engagement. Zenvo partnered with Danish aerodynamic expert #Aerotak, which previously contributed to the TS1 GT, TSR and TSR-S programs. Aerotak used computational fluid dynamics (#CFD) to simulate air flow and optimize the aero-architecture for the Aurora #Agil and #Tur models. Kasper Berthu Damkjær, founder and senior fluid mechanics specialist at Aerotak, praised the collaboration: "Working with Zenvo’s design team has been highly motivating. Their desire to understand our process and integrate our feedback has been key in delivering the best possible performance for the Aurora project." Christian Brandt, design director for Zenvo Automotive, highlighted the challenging but rewarding design process for the Aurora models. He emphasized the importance of balancing beauty and #aerodynamics, particularly for the high downforce, track-biased Agil variant. "We had to go through many iterations to get the perfect balance, and I am extremely pleased with the result," he said.
