Processes This chapter deals with listing and managing processes. `ps` - view processes (ps - process status) `ps aux` `ps x` `top` - view top processes. A color variant called `htop` is more fun to look at. Controlling the processes with `kill` and `killall` `Ctrl+Z`, `Ctrl+C`, `fg`, `bg`, `&` notation, `jobs` and `shutdown now`. Environment `printenv | less` Edit `~/.bashrc` or similar files that will be run during program initialization to edit configurations.
