CPG companies have experienced unprecedented demand, cost inflation and supply chain disruption over the last few years. In response, many took often multiple rounds of price increases to protect profitability. With the dust settling, many are seeing a need to reset their pack-price architecture (PPA) for growth due to: - Wrong pack sizes at the wrong price points vs. consumer demands - Misaligned pricing vs. competitive sets - Crossing psychological price thresholds - Broken discount curves - Vacating key category price points (including OPPs) A renewed focus on PPA and ensuring it is brought to life effectively with other RGM levers (promo, trade, mix) is key to get back to growth.
