Determine the size of the brick: Measure the length and height of one brick. Don't forget to include the mortar joint, usually about 10mm. 2.) Calculate the area of one brick: Multiply the length by the height (including the mortar joint). 3.) Find the number of bricks per square metre: Divide 1 square metre (10,000 cm²) by the area of one brick.
