Join us in the fight against blood cancer by raising awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night initiative. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Donating today using the link below can have a profound impact. Our CEO's dedication to supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is deeply personal; he lost his mother to ovarian cancer ten years ago, an experience that significantly altered his outlook on life and health. While LLS primarily focuses on blood cancers, its research breakthroughs extend to a variety of other cancers, including those affecting individuals like his mother. By contributing financially, we can collectively advocate for this crucial cause, enabling new research initiatives and support systems that aim to prevent other families from experiencing similar hardships. The funds raised through Light The Night enable LLS to develop vital treatments for individuals affected by various blood cancers. Since 2016, LLS has been instrumental in funding over 70% of FDA-approved therapies for blood cancer. Every donation—regardless of the amount—supports patients and their families nationwide. We sincerely appreciate your generosity. Thank you for being part of this important cause. #lls #donation #Leukemia #Lymphoma #cancer #bloodcancer #gideonsp #ovariancancer

When I accepted my job at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, I had no connections to blood cancer. I knew my empathy and admiration for the mission of the company would help me be successful in the position. 48 hours after saying yes, I received the news that a family friend's (one that has been around since before I was born) son was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at only three years old. Suddenly the mission of my company became my personal mission. Cleveland Light the Night is happening on October 6th and I am personally fundraising for it. Any donations to the cause can make a lifetime impact on individuals like Louie (who after a month of chemo is doing great). Here are a few AMAZING things that LLS can do with funds raised: -$300 could help fund one week of LLS-sponsored group support for families dealing with blood cancer treatment. -$500 could help defray the costs of treatment-related travel for a patient. -$1,000 could help fund general lab supplies for five weeks to help LLS-funded researchers conduct laboratory work needed to develop blood cancer treatments. -$7,500 could help fund the work of an LLS-funded research fellow for six weeks. -$10,000 can allow donor direct funding of one of nine disease-specific research portfolios. If you would like to donate or attend the event please visit my fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/eCDDATw7 For those equally passionate about bringing light to the darkness of cancer, I would love to discuss how you can be a part of next year's Light the Night!

At 17 I was diagnosed with lymphoma just before Christmas. At 19 I relapsed and I was given a 5-15% chance of survival. Today, I'm not just a survivor but a husband, a brother, a son, and a father to three incredible boys. This miraculous turn of events was made possible by a clinical trial funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). My story has become more common as we've donated to cures over the past 25+ years. Many of you are already part of that story, the story of hope for a child fighting for their life - like I was. I've been fortunate to participate in the Light the Night walk since its inception in Boston 23 years ago. I'm excited to bring my children back this year for the most inspirational night of the year. I'd love your support as many of you have donated for 20+ years. Why? Every 3 Minutes: Someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. Leading Cause: Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer in children. Survival Rates: Over 33% of patients don't survive 5 years post-diagnosis. How You Can Make a Monumental Impact Donate: Your contribution, no matter the size, amplifies our collective impact. [👉 DONATE BELOW 👈] Spread Love: If a financial contribution isn't feasible, a heartfelt embrace with your loved ones is another way to spread thankfulness for healthy friends and family. Your Donation Makes A Tangible Impact $50: Supports educational booklets for healthcare providers and patients. $100: Trains volunteers for the Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program, offering vital peer support nationwide. $500: Provides non-medical financial assistance to pediatric, young adult, or clinical trial patients. Your kindness matters. Every act of compassion, every donation, every word of encouragement adds up. Together, we're not just making a difference; we're making history. We're offering hope and pushing the boundaries of medical progress. With deep appreciation, I invite you to join me in this fight. Together, let's redefine the trajectory of blood cancer. https://lnkd.in/eBS5S-45 #LymphomaSurvivor, #LeukemiaAndLymphomaSociety, #FightBloodCancer, #CancerAwareness, #SurvivorStory, #LightTheNight, #CancerResearch, #HopeAgainstCancer, #CancerSupport, #BloodCancerAwareness, #DonateToCure, #CancerWarrior, #ClinicalTrials, #CancerSurvival, #PediatricCancer, #CancerFighter, #HealthcareHeroes, #SupportCancerPatients, #CancerCommunity, #EveryDonationCounts, #CancerAdvocacy, #JoinTheFight, #MedicalProgress, #CancerCare, #CureCancer, #StandUpToCancer, #CancerResearchFund, #ChildhoodCancerAwareness, #HopeAndHealing, #BeatCancer

https://lnkd.in/g-U4cgaT As many of you know, I have had a lot of titles in life: Director, Manager, Category manager. However, none of them are more important than the titles of Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. One of the titles I also hold is Chair for the West Michigan Light the Night Walk. This cause has been near and dear to my heart for years now, as my little brother fought and lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, August 21st of last year. I encourage anyone who is near to sign up to attend the walk and show your support: https://lnkd.in/g_SwYP5C For those you wishing to show support in other ways I encourage you to reach out. My fundraising page is below, and I have a personal goal of $5,000 dollars. The dollar amount seems so little compared to what this horrible disease actually cost my family, but I will do whatever it takes to ensure no family has to go through what we have, and I know LLS is just the organization that can do it. Many of you on my feed are influential in your organizations, and I encourage you to reach out to Madison Morell and find out how you and your organization can get involved. Corporate walk and fundraising teams are incredible ways to help your organizations create a positive lasting impacts on your communities, and with more than 1 out of every 2 people being touched by a cancer diagnosis, you are impacting your teams as well. Help me reach my personal goal but think bigger and bolder: help US cure cancer. #leadership #cancer #LLS #philanthropy #grief #worklifebalance

Hi Everyone please help ❤️😊 Any support is appreciated from the bottom of my heart. 1. Gimme 5 minutes of your time: Go to my personal TNT website https://lnkd.in/e9G58yNQ , and read about what I'm doing. 2. Gimme 5 bucks: Just donate online--five dollars for a great cause, and if you want to donate more, fantastic! 3. Gimme 5 friends: Pass the word to five friends and help spread the word! *Every 3 minutes someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer - money for research is desperately needed - so PLEASE donate now. $5 can get you a latte at Starbucks or a beer at your local bar, but to see how $5 makes an impact on cancer patients, check out how every dollar really does count: If 2 people gimme 5.... $10 provides two hours of microscope use to determine if a new medicine will stop a life-threatening lung infection in a bone marrow transplant patient. 4 people.... $20 pays for a bottle of nutrients that will nourish 10 million leukemia cells grown in the laboratory for a week, enabling scientists to test whether a new anti-cancer drug halts their growth. 20 people.... $100 pays for the cost of an antibody used to determine the precise characteristics of lymphoma cells, allowing doctors to determine the best treatment for a patient. 100 people.... $500 purchases 10 hours of time on a flow cytometer, a machine that reveals a multitude of characteristics of blood cancer cells that could be developed into effective diagnostic tests. Please help this amazing cause as a almost 7 year survivor. I have been blessed at a second chance of life. I can’t wait to participate in this event ❤️

In 2017, after a long battle, my father passed away from Lung cancer. My story isn’t even close to being unique and every person I know has a loved one or dear friend who has passed away or gone through the fight of their life trying to overcome a cancer diagnosis. I have been inspired by those working tirelessly to change this narrative. That’s why I am running the Philadelphia Marathon to raise funds for cancer research. Your support can make a difference. #forthefight #AACR #americanassociatioforfcancerresearch #oncologyresearch #cancerresearch #clinicaltrials #research #clinicalresearch https://lnkd.in/erRwjTyB

In just a few short weeks I’ve raised $2,300 for LLS with a goal to raise $10,000 before Light The Night on October 26th. While this might seem like just a small piece of the $1.7 billion LLS has invested in cancer research, my goal has the potential to provide an impact in multiple ways. What we raise in the next few days can make a year-long impact for blood cancer patients struggling with the cost of cancer. I’d ask that you consider making a donation to support my efforts to raise funds for LLS a donation. Here is how your donation has the potential to make a difference: $500 helps fund one week of LLS-sponsored group support for families dealing with blood cancer treatment. $1000 provides financial assistance for non-medical expenses, including rent or mortgage, utilities, dependent care, food, and car repairs, related to treatment to a pediatric or young adult patient through our Urgent Need Program. $2,500 helps fund the cost of nurses providing patients and parents/caregivers with clinical trial search navigation and support through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Clinical Trial Support Center. If you are available, please join me on October 26th for the Light the Night Walk! I would greatly appreciate your support as we lead into the final few weeks before we Light The Night on Saturday, October 26th! You can make a tax-deductible contribution through my link, https://lnkd.in/gVejDsWb.

SURPRISE - my Light the Night Team #LTN is back for the Reston Walk …. And it’s THIS FRIDAY 🩸October 25, 2024 the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light the Night is to honor the memory of my father, Dr. Ken Moskowitz, who bravely battled Multiple Myeloma for over 8 years before losing his brave battle in 2013. Multiple Myeloma is an incurable form of blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow. Although we’ve made significant strides in treatment, survival rates remain too low, and research is more critical than ever. LLS has played a pivotal role in advancing research and therapies that improve outcomes for patients. In fact, since the 1960s, LLS has invested nearly $1.6 billion in groundbreaking research. How You Can Help NOW (link to register and to donate is below) • Donate: Every contribution brings us one step closer to a cure. Whether large or small, your donation has a real impact. • Join the Team: Walk with us at the LLS Light the Night event to show your support and help raise awareness for this critical cause. Your generosity not only honors my father’s legacy but also fuels hope for all the families and those currently battling cancer. Let’s come together and make a difference. Key Facts about Multiple Myeloma: • Multiple Myeloma is the second most common blood cancer, yet it remains incurable. • More than 34,000 new cases of Multiple Myeloma are expected to be diagnosed in 2024 alone. • LLS funding has contributed to over 85% of FDA-approved blood cancer treatments since 2017.
