Do you have the "Right People" in the "Right Seat"? This is a difficult question but for any organization to be successful, you have locate, onboard, and keep people that align with your culture and help you move your organization forward. This video is a great reminder to spend time leading your people and not just managing them. At the ENRG - EOS Networking Resource Group meeting yesterday at the Innovation Portal, we discussed just that. You have to not only locate and onboard, but in order to keep, you must engage with your team regularly. This includes quarterly conversations that allow you to provide direct feedback to your team members, but also for them to provide direct feedback to you. Without that two way communication, you become a manager rather than a leader. Leaders can inspire and grow people, managers fill a void for effective leadership.
