PEB TERM-16 A Lean-To Building is originally defined as a building in which the rafters lean against another building or wall. Multi-Gable (MG) buildings consist of two or more gable buildings sharing common sidewall columns A Roof System consists of roof rafters, purlins and sheeting specifically designed to install onto a planned or an existing substructure. We offer a UK-SPECIFIC basement solution. 🇬🇧📣 The EcoSafe Basement system has been designed to optimise available space and integrates retaining piles with precast concrete sections to provide Type B (structurally integral) and Type C (drained) protection. By simplifying the construction process, the EcoSafe Basement solution is 15-20% cheaper than a combined pile and separate basement project. This system can be combined with standard twin walls and single walls, which is advantageous if, for example, piling is only required in two areas. The single precast wall is erected according to the customer’s requirements normally with a 280-320mm gap between the insulation and the wall panel, which is filled with in-situ concrete. Internal walls and roof panels are installed as happens with all our basements. Glatthaar Keller will install the Type B tanking in line with the single precast wall panel and we will also install the Type C tanking (internal) once the concrete is poured and dry. EcoSafe Basements are designed to optimise the available space. The basement can be installed directly in front of the piles without additional working space, eliminating the need for additional excavation and backfilling after the basement is installed. #ukbasementsystem #ecosave #glatthaarkeller #precast #panel walls #concrete #basements #space #workingspace #excavation #groundworks

A counterfort retaining wall is a type of structure used to hold back soil or other materials. It consists of a series of vertical concrete ribs, called counterforts, spaced at intervals along the wall. These counterforts are connected to a horizontal slab, called the base slab, at the bottom and a vertical slab, called the stem, at the back. The counterforts help to distribute the pressure from the retained material more evenly, providing stability to the wall. This design allows for greater strength and stability compared to a typical cantilever retaining wall.#retainingwalls #civilengineering #construction

SUSPENDED SLAB is a type of structural flooring system commonly used in construction. Here’s how it works: 1. Definition : A suspended slab is a concrete slab that is suspended above the ground rather than being directly in contact with it. 2. Construction : The slab is supported by steel joists or beams, which are in turn supported by columns or walls. These joists or beams create the framework for the slab. 3. Reinforcement : The slab is then reinforced with steel rebar or mesh to provide additional strength and stability. 4. Applications : Suspended slabs are often used for upper floors in houses or buildings. They can also be placed on top of pre-constructed walls to form a ground floor. Overall, suspended slabs are an efficient and cost-effective way to create floors without extensive excavation work. #SuspendedSlab #ConstructionManagement #ProjectManagementProfessional #MasterProjectManager
