Earlier this week we celebrated the launch of our new money confidence activities - created in collaboration with HSBC UK - with an incredible panel discussion. Led by Girlguiding advocates Meg and Hannah, the panel was made up of pioneering women from the world of finance - Bola Sol, financial adviser, author and champion for financial literacy, Edwina Dunn OBE, creator and leader of The Female Lead, Martha Silcott, inventor and CEO of FabLittleBag, and Jennifer Strybel, COO of HSBC UK. Our advocates chatted to the panel about their journey to becoming financially confident and why they believe money skills are so important for girls and young women. We also heard from Girlguiding's CEO Angela Salt and HSBC UK's CEO Ian Stuart on the development of our money confidence activities and how they can help build financial skills in young people. And to finish, Claire Hazelgrove, Labour MP for Filton and Bradley Stoke and trustee for Girlguiding Bristol and South Gloucestershire, spoke about the work she's doing in Parliament to improve financial education for all children. A huge thank you to all the speakers and guests for a very inspiring event.
Love this! One interesting campaign the girls might want to check out is Starling Bank 's Make Money Equal. 🙂 It shows how the way women and girls are portrayed in handling money means they are often depicted as scrimping and saving, while men are portrayed as being confident and investing.
Excellent program. Every girl every women need to know about financial literacy
