Network as a Service - NaaS - Part Three . NAAS: .. ADOPTION GATHERS PACE Enterprise adoption of NaaS is being spurred by several factors, not least of which is the ‘technical hangover’ exposed by the current global economic climate. According to research firm IDC, some of the drivers are the following. · Shift to cloud-centric infrastructure & applications – making companies more digitally resilient. · Everything being consumed as-a-Service - especially the infrastructure at edge locations & data centres, meaning commercial constructs are changing – which leads us to · IT leaders accelerating the shift of IT spend from capex to opex to consider flexible consumption models like as a-Service. Conclusion:- If you’re a business you need to invest in the services you need today, instead of waiting for future funds and stalling advancement. Consume your IT service infrastructure via an as-a-Service model – The (NaaS) Network as a Service. Check out our brief Techxplanier video for the business benefits of NaaS.. #wavuESP #complexitysimplified #consoleconnect #NaaS #ConnectivityMadeSimple It sounds COMPLEX - but WAVU Consultants are here to make it easy and SIMPLIFY it for you.. The new European Commission should focus on the transposition of the very challenging digital laws the industry will have to deal with in the coming years. Besides the #DigitalServicesAct (DSA) and the #DigitalMarketsAct (DMA), even the #AIAct and #DataAct will only be applied in the next 6 to 36 months and many companies are struggling with compliance of this extremley complex regulatory framework. The impact of these fundamental regulations at the national level must first be closely examined before additional new measures are taken. Companies need a stable and reliable legal framework and not a constant stream of new regulations that create uncertainties and hinder innovation!

A few reasons for optimism from the Lisbon Council roundtable on telecom and cloud yesterday: 1. Even on sensitive, controversial and apparently zero-sum issues, it was possible to have meaningful and constructive conversations that go beyond posturing. Thanks to all the participants for this. 2. David Abecassis proved there can be one-handed economist, playing fair and facts-based but still taking clear positions. The title of the report is not shy. 3. We are all very lucky to have BEREC. The weight and gravity it brings to the discussion and the laser-like focus on evidence should be considered as a standard for all policy areas. At a time where trust in government is low, and facts seem not to matter in the policy debate, interventions such as the one of Robert Mourik are so important.
Cloud and telecom are two different markets and the telecom regulatory framework is unsuitable for the cloud sector. This is the key finding of a new study presented by David Abecassis, partner at Analysys Mason, as he opened the High-Level Roundtable on Future-Proofing European Digital Infrastructure: Is Change in the Regulatory Framework Justified and Necessary? convened by The Lisbon Council in the wake of the Council of the European Union discussion on the European Commission’s white paper on digital infrastructure. More on "The European telecoms regulatory framework: not a good fit for the public cloud" study at https://lnkd.in/d7p8R-sC Stay tuned for more on the important discussions that these findings sparked.

👏 Thanks to European Digital SME Alliance (representing more than 45,000 SMEs in the EU), Beltug, CIO Platform, the European Champions Alliance, MEDEF, AFEP and CIGREF! The 26 event was packed with discussions about the importance of voluntary High+ criteria in the EU Cybersecurity Certification Scheme (EUCS) to safeguard Europe’s digital sovereignty. 📣 Numerous Cloud user companies and associations of all sizes, sectors and countries in the EU took the floor to stress the need for voluntary High+ from an operational point of view. Very interesting insights from ENISA, Johan Klykens (Belgian Centre for Cybersecurity), MEP Stephanie Yon Courtin, Ulrich Ahle (Gaïa-X) and the CNIL. Key Takeaways: 1/ Voluntary High+ criteria in the EUCS would empower cloud users across Europe with confidence that their data is secure and protected from foreign jurisdictions. 2/ 💪 Implementing an ambitious and voluntary High+ standard would enhance competitiveness, aligning with the diverse needs of users, from SMEs to large enterprises across sectors like aerospace, finance, AI, and more. 3/ By introducing a harmonized EU standard, High+ would strengthen the EU’s digital single market, echoing the recommendations of the 📘 Draghi report. The voices of cloud users are clear - their needs must be heard in the ongoing EUCS debate, and we must take the time to get it right. 'Europe can regain #digital sovereignty and economic prosperity [..] the #EUCS is a small but super important part of the puzzle. With the right sovereignty requirements in place, we can boost the European #cloud industry, which is central to the European technology stack.’ DIGITAL SME’s Secretary-General Sebastiano Toffaletti is speaking at the "Data Security in the Cloud: A Matter of #Competitiveness and Resilience" event co-organised with MEDEF Numérique & Innovation. Reincorporating sovereignty requirements in the EUCS is vital to protect European #data and promote the development of European cloud services.
