https://lnkd.in/gj7gwzSA? I just read this crazy article about a passenger on Royal Caribbean that fell off the cruise ship! This has never happened on any cruises that I have ever taken and I have been cruising several times a year for 13 years. I have always wondered what happens when someone go missing. This is an interesting article. Check it out. I have gained a lot of skills by completing a travel and tourism course. This has helped me gain confidence in book reservations and meeting client expectations. Both are keys to success in this industry. Keep me in mind if you're planning a trip!

Royal Caribbean Cancels November 2025 Cruises to the Red Sea and Asia Shipping Arabia, October 12, 2024 — Royal Caribbean International has announced the cancellation of two scheduled cruises for November 2025 aboard the Voyager of the Seas, originally set to explore destinations in the Middle East and Asia. The decision comes as the cruise line opts to redeploy the vessel due to unrest in the Red Sea area. The affected sailings were a 14-night cruise starting November 3, 2025, from Civitavecchia, Italy, to Dubai, UAE, which included stops in Greece, Jordan, and transit through the Suez Canal, and a subsequent 14-night journey from Dubai to Singapore scheduled for November 17, 2025, that would have visited various ports across India, Thailand, and Malaysia. Royal Caribbean has proactively offered guests affected by these cancellations a full refund of their fare or the option to transfer their bookings to any other sailing by the company, without incurring non-refundable deposit change fees. However, guests will need to cover any fare differences. For guests booked on the November 3 voyage, an alternative includes a trans-Atlantic crossing on the Odyssey of the Seas, departing October 22, 2025, from Civitavecchia to Cape Liberty, with ports of call in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. This replacement cruise guarantees stateroom category price protection or reduction to the current fare if it is lower. Similarly, passengers scheduled for the November 17 journey have the opportunity to switch to a 13-night trans-Atlantic crossing aboard the Allure of the Seas, which sets sail on October 26, 2025, from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, visiting three Spanish ports. Fare adjustments will be made accordingly, with any excess amounts refunded. Royal Caribbean expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and emphasized its commitment to ensuring guests enjoy their vacation experiences, stating, "The time and effort you took to plan your cruise is important to us, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Every aspect of your time with us should be enjoyable, so we’ve put together some alternative options that we hope will work for you and those in your party." AIDA Cruises Adjusts Spring 2025 Itinerary Due to Red Sea Conflict Shipping Arabia, August 22, 2024 — In response to ongoing tensions in the Red Sea, AIDA Cruises has announced alterations to its spring 2025 sailing schedule for three of its ships. The cruise line is modifying the repositioning routes for AIDAprima and AIDAstella as they transition back to Europe for the upcoming summer season. These vessels will now avoid the Red Sea by navigating around the African continent. Due to these changes, several cruises on both ships have been canceled, while others have been reassigned to the AIDAcosma, which will introduce a new itinerary in the Mediterranean starting early 2025. Specifically, all AIDAprima cruises slated between March 2 and March 23, 2025, have been canceled. Similarly, AIDAstella will see all sailings scheduled from April 17 to May 20, 2025, canceled. In addition, to accommodate the new Mediterranean sailings on the AIDAcosma, five trips originally planned to the Canary Islands in April 2025 have also been canceled. This adjustment allows for the transfer of several Mediterranean cruises originally set on the AIDAprima to the AIDAcosma, covering the period of April 11 to 18, 2025. Conversely, the AIDAprima will assume the AIDAcosma's previously scheduled Canary Islands cruise departing on April 12, 2025. During the winter season of 2024-25, both ships will operate in Asia and the Middle East. The AIDAprima will offer week-long cruises departing from Dubai to various Middle East destinations, while the AIDAstella will navigate a variety of routes in the Far East, departing from Thailand, Japan, China, and other locations. Furthermore, new repositioning itineraries for both the AIDAprima and AIDAstella through the Indian Ocean and around Africa are in development, with bookings anticipated to open in September 2024. This strategic adjustment underscores AIDA Cruises' commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of its passengers amid changing geopolitical landscapes.
