Our Chief to do the most officer King David(Mfalme Daudi) giving a Keynote on the final day of #ADIS2024 grand finale conference in Kigali. On his session, he shared on "Building a United Africa through digital transformation". According to him, Africa has enough potential to transform the world, however we can't do this unless we unite as a continent. Despite the diversity in the continent, we can't do much unless we unite together as one and take upon our continent's most pressing challenges through a United front. With the rise of digital transformation, Africa stands on an ample opportunity to drive change in the continent. Change that can move from the continent to other parts of the world. All of this is possible with just a little faith and unity expressed in diversity. #ADIS2024 conversations may have ended but the result from the discussions will remain evergreen in our heads. #spcuniverse #ADIS2024

🔅In today’s interconnected world, the role of joint committees and international relations is more crucial than ever. These platforms are not just mechanisms for dialogue; they are enablers of shared progress, aligning strategies to address global challenges and unlock economic opportunities. 🔅In Saudi Arabia, we witness firsthand how collaborative frameworks foster innovation, deepen partnerships, and amplify collective impact. Whether it’s advancing sustainable development goals, building resilient economies, or enhancing regional integration, joint committees serve as powerful conduits for driving mutual benefits. 🔅Vision 2030 has elevated the importance of these partnerships. By leveraging international best practices and fostering cross-border synergies, we are redefining our approach to global cooperation, ensuring that it aligns with our aspirations for a diversified and thriving economy. 🔅The lesson is clear: the future belongs to those who can collaborate effectively across borders. Let us continue to champion dialogue, foster trust, and build partnerships that deliver tangible results for a better world. What strategies or insights do you believe are key to strengthening international collaboration in today’s dynamic landscape? I’d love to hear your thoughts! #InternationalRelations #JointCommittees #GlobalPartnerships #SaudiVision2030 #cop16 #greeninitiative #unitednations #saudigreeninitiative #water #life

This marks a significant shift in the evaluation of Indian institutions, promoting a greater emphasis on sustainability and alignment with global efforts such as the UN's SDGs. Institutions that participated in previous rankings are automatically pre-registered, while new institutions can register for evaluation under this category starting from October 14th, 2024, providing an opportunity to highlight their sustainability initiatives. https://lnkd.in/gh4JThY2 #SDG #NIRF #NewCategory #MOE #UGC #IOE #AICTE

Eastern Europe is ramping up discussions on Sustainable Development, and now after the COP28 declaration "#TriplingNuclear", nuclear SMRs can be brought more directly into the Agendas, focused perhaps first on industrial applications where emissions savings for both HEAT and power are needed. Wind and solar, nor hydropower, do not provide heat directly to energy intensive industrial applications (Chemicals, metals, making fuels via gasification)... it is not a question of "cost". Wind and solar simply cannot provide continuous heat -- that's physics. Industrial sources cannot readily use intermittent sources... even with TONS of batteries (from China). And, what is the cost of outages? Very high for industry. What is the probability that wind and solar will suffer outages each day? 100% Urban planners and ministries and parliaments fool themselves into thinking the various electricity sources are easily inter-changeable. They are not. Renewable energy is weak, takes up a lot of land (except rooftop solar), and is vulnerable to shifts in the weather as climate stress rises. Worse... more cables to gather wind power can trigger wildfires. Ask PG&E (bankruptcy 2019). https://lnkd.in/edPU9wc7

We have just finished a wonderful two days in Belgrade at the Sustainable Development Forum event organised by my good friend Kosta Zivanovic. Wow! Kosta managed to pull together a standout line up to talk about The Green Transition: Economy, Energy and Health #sdf2024. I was struck by the links between entrepreneurial opportunity, health and the energy transition. The local Serbian talent in the room was impressive and I come away with renewed optimism in the talented young people that I met. Thanks to all for a warm welcome!! With thanks to all the sponsors, including the Cambridge Judge Business School. And shout outs to my University of Cambridge colleagues Paul Lohmann, Lord Martin Rees and Matthew Kilgarriff. A special thank you to the British Ambassador to Serbia Edward Ferguson for his support.
