With it being Global's Make Some Noise Night this week, we wanted to take a moment to make some noise for the person behind it all. A decade ago, our Group CEO, Stephen Miron, had a vision for how Global could bring all of its radio brands together for the power of good. And so, our charity Global’s Make Some Noise was born and since 2014, it’s raised a staggering £40 million for small charities across the UK and helped change the lives of more than 200,000 people. Alongside on air and outdoor campaigns, part of Stephen’s vision for Global’s Make Some Noise included a fundraising gala, which has grown and grown each year. With Stephen stepping down as CEO next year to become Global’s chairman, this year’s Make Some Noise Night felt extra special, echoed by James O’Brien’s on-stage tribute to Stephen in front of the 400 guests. On the night, a record-breaking £1,282,976 was raised! We’re taking a moment to thank Stephen for his vision, passion and dedication to cultivating Global’s Make Some Noise into the success and lifeline to many that it’s become. Thank you, Stephen! 🩵 #CEO | #Leadership | #Charity | #Fundraising
