🚨BIF has opposed the telcos’ arguments on PM-WANI Tariffs🚨 We believe an intervention in tariffs for broadband connectivity to PDOs is definitely required and urgently needed. The unduly high tariffs must be brought down to a reasonable and comparable level of tariffs of same service being provided by TSPs/ISPs for FTTH. By revising these tariffs, we can support the success of PM-WANI and the broader goals of digital inclusion under NDCP 2018 and Bharat 6G Vision. #DigitalIndia #PMWANI #BroadbandForAll #TRAI #TelecomReforms #PDO #ConnectivityForAll #DigitalInclusion 📰 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gcqMY258

📡📈 Telecom Industry: The Power of Tariff Hikes 📈📡 😄 And no, the tariff hikes aren't for Anant Ambani's wedding! They are strategically designed for all other important reasons! 😉 The recent tariff hikes in the telecom industry are more than just a price adjustment—they're a strategic move set to drive significant positive changes. Here's how: Boosting EBIDTA Levels 📊 With increased tariffs, telecom companies are poised to see a substantial improvement in their Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBIDTA) levels. This financial health enhancement is crucial for the stability and growth of the industry. Enabling Technological Investments 💡 Higher revenue from tariffs means telecom operators can channel more funds into cutting-edge technologies. From 5G deployment to advanced network infrastructure, these investments are set to revolutionize connectivity and user experience. Strengthening Financial Stability 💪 Improved EBIDTA levels contribute to better cash flow and reduced debt levels. This financial fortification allows companies to withstand market fluctuations and maintain competitive pricing, benefiting consumers in the long run. Enhancing Customer Experience 🌟 With more resources, telecom firms can focus on delivering superior customer service, faster internet speeds, and expanded coverage areas. This commitment to quality ensures that customers get the best value for their money. 📌 Key Takeaway: The recent tariff hikes are a positive step towards empowering telecom companies to enhance their EBIDTA levels and invest in future-ready technologies. These changes are set to bring about a wave of innovation and improved services for consumers. #TelecomIndustry #TariffHikes #EBIDTA #Innovation #Technology #CustomerExperience #FinancialHealth

If the Road & Transport Ministry, under the guidance of the Honorable Minister Nitin Gadkari can create an excellent road network across the country, why can't the Telecom Ministry under the guidance of Jyotiraditya M Scindia achieve the same level of success? Are they inefficient? Why is it that private organizations can achieve massive success, while government organizations struggle to do so despite having extensive infrastructure across the country?

Samoa Telecommunication regulator, Lematua Gisa Purcell has maintained that the current internet price is cheaper compared to previous years and the network cost will drop again before the end of the year. Lematua made the comments in response to growing concerns raised in Parliament over the high cost of internet despite major IT infrastructure available locally. The Opposition Leader Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has challenged the Regulator and the Minister of Communication Information and Technology (MCIT) to do something about the expensive connectivity costs. 🚀 Unlocking India's Telecom Potential: Aligning Tariffs with Consumer Capacity 📱 I'm excited to share my latest video where I dive deep into the dynamics of tariff hikes in the Indian telecom sector. In this analysis, I use a Monte Carlo simulation to estimate the impact of tariff hikes based on the market's paying capacity. Unlike many Western markets, India's telecom tariffs are closely tied to consumer affordability and economic realities. 🔍 Key Insights Covered: The leverage of tariff hikes isn't fully with the operators; it's determined by the market's paying capacity. The simulation assumes optimistic caps, highlighting that actual figures could be lower. Why comparing Indian tariffs with Western countries isn't appropriate. The need to reduce input costs for deploying services to ensure consumers get the full benefits of mobile services in India. 📊 This analysis is crucial for understanding the constraints and opportunities within the Indian telecom market. It's clear that India's network costs need to align with consumer paying capacity for sustainable growth. Check out the video for a detailed breakdown and join the conversation on how we can work towards a more equitable and efficient telecom landscape in India. #TelecomTariffs #IndiaMobileServices #MarketPayingCapacity #MonteCarloSimulation #IndianEconomy #Bharti #Jio #VodafoneIdea #RuralIndia #UrbanIndia #TelecomInsights

The recent price hike by leading Indian telecom operators has brought the once-forgotten BSNL back into the spotlight. Historically, the Indian telecom sector was exclusively government-controlled, with BSNL, a public sector company, serving as the primary service provider. However, due to its inefficiency, lack of innovation, sluggish growth, and the pressing need for technological advancement and substantial investment, the sector was opened up to privatization. The aim of privatizing the telecom sector was to infuse the necessary capital and technology, foster competition, enhance service quality, lower tariffs, and promote innovative offerings. The benefits of this privatization are undeniable. The growth of the telecom sector has significantly contributed to overall economic development, enabling digital connectivity, boosting e-commerce, and benefiting various other industries. However, the sector has gradually evolved into an oligopoly, with a few private companies dominating the market. These companies now control a significant share of the market, wielding considerable influence over pricing and service offerings. High barriers to entry, substantial capital investment requirements, and the regulatory environment have further consolidated market power among these companies. This concentration limits competition and grants these companies significant control over market dynamics. BSNL was expected to maintain healthy competition, prevent monopolistic practices and ensure that consumers are benefited from fair pricing and quality services by providing comparable quality at affordable prices. Unfortunately, it failed to fulfill this role. The growing inefficiency of government companies has exacerbated the dominance and pricing power of the private sector. Despite the Indian government's efforts to drive national development and business growth, it is crucial to also focus on transforming loss-making government companies into successful enterprises. Achieving sustained and balanced development while preserving the strengths of our mixed economy model requires equal attention to both sectors
