To revolutionize education, we must rethink our approach. The key to transforming education forever lies in investing directly in individual children and teachers. By measuring, improving, and rewarding their positive actions, we can unlock unprecedented growth and potential. The question is, are we brave enough to challenge the status quo and change HOW we invest in education?

Education is the cornerstone of all development and innovation. It is not just about receiving knowledge but also about pioneering new ideas. Graduation is a testament to hard work, resilience, and the spirit of innovation. One pen, one idea, one action can change the world. We are thinkers. We are innovators. Our research forms the foundation of groundbreaking solutions. We possess the knowledge and have been empowered to transform our communities, our country, Africa, and the world. With a highly education-oriented system, it’s time to pull up our socks and show the world what we are capable of. We have the power—the power to create and implement innovative solutions. Together we can transform the education sector to what we envision it to be!

Supporting scientific and innovation cooperation, encouraging students and staff exchanges, promoting job opportunity-driven skills development are core priorities of the Africa-EU Partnership. Universities and higher education institutions are key actors to fulfil these commitments and, at the same time, to promote people-to-people connections. This is why it was an honour for me today to present on behalf of the European Commission objectives and initiatives of the Africa-EU Partnership on education, research and skills at the Università Bocconi. With a focus on EU support to education systems in the African continental integration process, and EU engagement with the private sector for employment. I am thankful to Prof. Roberto Isibor for the invitation and for having organised the course “Business and investment law of African Countries” – which is timely and of relevance at a time of geopolitical turmoil. Once more, education and research are an Africa-EU joint value on their own, as well as a key enabler for achieving all SDGs and Global Gateway Africa-Europe Investment Package pillars. #TransformingEducation #GlobalGateway #PartnersInChange #InvestInEducation #QualityEducation #EducationForAll #highereducation #universities #Erasmus+

📢Join us for a round table webinar: "Fostering inter-regional learning: Establishing national frameworks to regulate transnational corporations and safeguard human rights in Africa & Latin America." 📅July 31st ⏲️07:00 Bogota, 13:00 London, 15:00 Nairobi In recent years, the global landscape of business and human rights has increasingly emphasised the importance of national frameworks for regulating the activities of transnational corporations (TNCs). African and Latin American countries face challenges and opportunities in developing effective frameworks that ensure TNCs operate responsibly and respect human rights. Both regions are rich in natural resources, making them attractive for TNC investment, but without proper regulation, local communities and the environment can be at risk. The webinar will feature: • Interactive presentations by regulatory bodies, regional institutions, and international organisations, sharing best practices and regulatory approaches. • Experience-sharing sessions facilitated by human rights activists and civil society organisations, highlighting real-world challenges and successes. • Insights into effective frameworks for regulating TNC activities and mitigating their impacts on human rights and the environment. The event will be conducted in English, with interpretation in Spanish and French. The week that is: 14.08.2024 I had yet another privilege to Facilitate the high level meeting of the Higher Education Regularos in Africa to dialogue and generate shared understanding for #TransformativeEducation for a competitive Africa. The points of discussion included: - The vision and aspiration for Delivery of transformative Education -Regulation and governance of higher education in Africa and a need to build capacities for quality assurance - Leveraging technology advances and implications for a competive higher education sector - Strengthen collaboration across the continent. I asked the Regulators to reflect on two fundamental questions - What RADICAL CHANGE is needed in the way they do business in their country to achieve different outcomes towards transformative education in Africa? - In their own personal capacities ( and within their space of influence) what can they do to initiate the transformative change in their institutions and countries. What a robust discussion and reflections we had. Yet another successful event. Today is the last day of the #RUFORUM2NDTRIENNIAL What an engaging week this was. I am glad to have been given an opportunity not only to be part of; but to lead and guide some of the highest level discussions towards shaping that transformative agenda for Africa
