Sustainability Week Sustainability is the most talked about subject in every industry, talked about! The question is- Are we doing enough in this area to speed up achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. Successive Annual Sustainability Development Reports show most activity in Europe only. If I look at the PPE Industry, then I see a change in the last few years. More companies are focusing on sustainable and recyclable products. And that is the need of the hour as the demand for sustainable PPE becomes more pronounced. Think the industry is heading in the 'sustainability' direction? Climate education is crucial because many individuals remain indifferent to the urgency of “saving the planet,” often dismissing climate change as a hoax or opposing measures like carbon taxes. It’s essential to inform and engage everyone about the catastrophic impacts of climate change and the critical need for action to combat it. We are confronting a looming crisis that requires collective effort. Encouraging more students to pursue careers as sustainable engineers and champions of climate defense is vital for securing a sustainable future for humanity. ~ I try to refrain from posting frustrations and generally prefer solution-focused mindset... But 🥲 Sometimes, you just want to laugh/cry at the ludicrousy of the whole situation. Are we not facing a potential existential crisis of our own making? Am I (based on factual data producted and agreed on by most climate scientists) overreacting and it's all solvable with progressive technologies (synomymous with AI, it seems)? 💻 🌏 It's fascinating how people all have such diverse attitudes and perspectives. This is NOT a criticism, just a reflection, because I recognise the need of diverse perspectives! 💪🏼 I am #hopeful, #optimistic and most importantly, will never stop looking for #solutions, as long as I'm alive.
