I love that there is so much content around at the moment of the benefits of excercise on the brain. Here Wendy is talking about how aerobic exercise four times a week for 30 minutes essentially slows the aging of the brain, helping to protect us from degenerative disease such as dementia. We’ve long known about aerobic exercise and it’s release of endorphins, and I talked last week about how it also helps reduce the cortisol in our body reducing the impact of stress on our body and brain. YES for exercise!!! How do you fit workouts in? For me its at 5am, and after 3 years, waking up that early has NOT gotten easier!😴⏰ I started my consistent exercise journey—not to lose weight or look different, but to have more energy, to feel more present, and to show up fully for the people I spend my days with. Exercise quickly became one of the best tools in my life to boost my mental health, reduce stress, and improve my focus. It’s like hitting the "refresh" button every day. And I’ve found it keeps me accountable not just to myself but to everyone who depend on me. When I take care of myself, I can better take care of others. Showing up strong—physically, mentally, and emotionally—makes a difference in how I lead, connect, and grow.
