Time to jump into the mobile robot way-back machine. ⏲ Earlier today I posted about a brand new dual-arm mobile robot...and then I stumbled across an old video for Ballbot, an ingenious robot from the Carnegie Mellon's Robotics Institute. Ballbot came out around 2015 and demonstrated a unique approach to mobile robots. In this case, it was a single-ball balancing robot. It was originally expected that Ballbot would be used for tasks such personal support, everday chores, and other misc. tasks.
