Italian concept - the Lamborghini Cala! At the 65th Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled the Cala as concept car. It was designed by Italdesign in a collaborative effort with Lamborghini. Originally, it was meant to replace the Jalpa and sit next to the Diablo in their model range. Unfortunately, the car was never put into production. The Cala was powered by a 4.0L V10 engine, producing roughly 400hp. That was mated to a 6-Speed Manual gearbox. The chassis was aluminum and the body was hand-built out of carbon fiber. Performance put the 0-60mph under 5 seconds and the top speed at 181mph. It wasn't until 2003 that Lamborghini had their actual Jalpa successor in the Gallardo. Some 15 years later. However, the Cala remains one of those concept/prototypes that opened the door for Lamborghini to forge ahead with an entry-level V10 supercar. You can see some of the influence of the Cala in cars such as the Sesto Elemento and later Huracan. #lamborghini #cala #concept #supercar #performance #speed #italy 🇮🇹 #Anis_Maaouia

The Evolution of the Supercar: 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 It’s amazing to see the evolution of the supercar, and the Lamborghini Miura played a key role in shaping that journey. When it debuted, it was the fastest production road car in the world! Originally developed by Lamborghini's engineering team against Ferruccio Lamborghini’s initial wishes, the Miura made waves at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show with its stunning design by Marcello Gandini. A true pioneer in supercar history, the Miura paved the way for future icons and remains a timeless masterpiece of speed, style, and innovation. #Lamborghini #Miura #SupercarEvolution #MidEngine #AutomotiveIcon #ClassicCars #LamborghiniMiura

The fate of the Lamborghini Huracan has been set in stone for a while now, and we know a replacement is in the works, but Lamborghini’s V-10 masterpiece wasn’t going down without a fight, with a final model being this Huracan STJ. Limited to just 10 examples worldwide with a unique aerodynamics package, and performance straight from the Huracan STO, we can say without a doubt that this is the most extreme road-legal Huracan ever built. This is it, folks; we’re finally looking at the very last iteration of the Huracan before Lamborghini reveals an all-new supercar later this year. It joins a long list of other STJ models (Super Trofeo Jota), and finally closes the Huracan chapter as Lamborghini moves into the future. The question is, does the Huracan STJ live up to the 10 years of history that precede it? Race-Ready Performance For The Road The Lamborghini Huracan STJ isn’t your typical special farewell edition. Under that crispy, aggressive body resides the very same 5.2-liter V-10 that powers the Huracan STO. It delivers a cool 631 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque, enough for a sprint to 60 mph in less than three seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. As you’d expect power is directed exclusively to the rear wheels, with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic handling shifting duties.

In 2011, Lamborghini unveiled the stunning Aventador, heralded as a game changer in the supercar world. With a roaring V12 engine boasting a 6.5-litre displacement, it initially delivered an astonishing 690 horsepower, later ramped up to a blistering 770 in the SVJ Roadster. The LP 700-4 could rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, and after a cheeky upgrade, it shaved that down to an impressive 2.8 seconds. With a top speed of 350 km/h, it’s no surprise this beast has become the highest-selling machine in its class, outpacing other V12 models. Staying true to its heritage, Lamborghini names its engines after legendary fighting bulls, and the Aventador is no exception, taking its name from the fierce 1993 bull, Zargoza. A masterpiece of engineering and design, the Aventador not only redefines performance but also captures the essence of automotive passion, making it a timeless symbol of luxury and speed.

My car of the day? This so elegant 365 GTC with its magnificent and rare colour configuration! The 365 GTC, which succeeded the 330 by the end of 1968, featured a significant change with a 4.4-liter engine and the relocation of engine air vents from the fenders to the hood. Despite a modest improvement in top speed, the focus was on acceleration. With production lasting just over a year, only slightly more than 150 units were produced. The car up for auction is exceptionally rare, being one of only six with this unique configuration, as confirmed by Marcel Massini's report. The ignition harness was replaced in 2016, and an oil change was done in July 2023. It includes its billing history, spare wheel, jack, and Ferrari Classiche documentation. Estimate: 600 000€ - 800 000€ https://lnkd.in/ewZGkUcB https://lnkd.in/ekYdSyDn #classic #classics #classiccars #collectorcars #carcollectors #historic #vintage #cars #automotiveindustry #auto #autos #autoindustry #auction #forsale #automotive #monaco #Luxury #MonacoCarAuctions #Ferrari #365GTC #collection

The very first 1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV, a two-seater coupe with a V12 engine, marked the beginning of a legendary legacy in the automotive industry. Founded in May 1963 by renowned tractor builder Ferruccio Lamborghini in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, Automobili Lamborghini made its grand entrance with this groundbreaking model. Born in 1916 in Renazzo, Italy, Ferruccio Lamborghini, the visionary behind one of the original supercar companies, revolutionized the world of automotive engineering. Frustrated by the constant breakdowns of his Ferrari, Lamborghini made the bold decision to shift from crafting tractors to crafting performance supercars, giving birth to iconic masterpieces like the Aventador and Muria. The rivalry between Lamborghini and Ferrari has become the stuff of legends, with Lamborghini's relentless pursuit of excellence leading to the creation of some of the most recognizable and revered cars on the planet. Ferruccio's commitment to innovation and quality has left an indelible mark on the automotive industry, cementing Lamborghini's position as a true powerhouse in the world of luxury sports cars. #NEWYORKAUTOMUSEUM #NYAM
