Last year I won my category of women changing the world.
I won for the impact I’ve made with my cosmetic formulas for changing lives and self esteem.
This year I get the honour of being a judge.
The Awards are presented by Oprah’s favourite guest Dr Tererai Trent and Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York.
The Women Changing the World Awards aim is to elevate, celebrate, connect and support women in their journey as changemakers, trailblazers and leaders.
The UN states that achieving gender equality is of crucial importance in reaching the 17 sustainable development goals by 2030 and explains that women are the key to changing the world:
“Achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment is integral to each of the 17 goals. Only by ensuring the rights of women and girls across all the goals will we get to justice and inclusion, economies that work for all, and sustaining our shared environment now and for future generations.”
Nominations are now open.

After a conversation I had with another friend last week, I encouraged her to embrace her greatness and apply for more awards! This isn't something that comes naturally for folks it seems. But it needs to be on your to-do list!
Nominating yourself for awards isn't just about recognition—it's a strategic move for thought leadership. It showcases your brand, expertise, and team. Don't let modesty hold you back. Step into the spotlight!
There are numerous awards out there for industries that may not even be on our radar. For instance, did you know there's an award/contest out there for farm dogs? Yes. The 2025 Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year contest, supported by Nestlé Purina PetCare, celebrates farm dogs and the many ways they support farmers and ranchers. And let's not forget all of the 30 in their 30s and 40 Under 40 awards nationwide.
There are plenty of opportunities to share your achievements and milestones. So what's holding you back?
Speaking of awards, L'Oréal Paris USA is calling on women across the nation to nominate a trail-blazing female non-profit leader for a chance to be one of 10 honorees inducted into this year's Women of Worth class, each of whom will receive funding, mentorship and a national platform to share their stories and grow their grassroot organizations.

Did you know that there are 5,964 IT businesses in the UK with female founders? 💡
Sounds a lot, right? 🙌
What if I told you that this figure relates to only 15% of the 39,926 businesses in this space? 😯
How do we encourage more women to build their own practices in a male-dominated space?
It goes without saying, diverse teams get better results. In fact, according to Forbes, diverse teams deliver 60% better results and make better decisions in 87% of cases.
With that in mind, how do we level the playing field? 🤔
We need to do more to shout about the amazing work female founders in IT are doing. Initiatives like the CRN UK Women of the Channel Awards are a start. But do they go far enough?
