As we approach another year of a water shortage on the Colorado River, dwindling groundwater supplies, and a hotter, drier climate, taking proactive steps to address our strained water resources is vital. ‘Water is life’ is a common phrase coined by our indigenous brothers and sisters, and this important message has been spread throughout the Southwest. 💧The theme for World Water Day in 2024 is water for peace. Water can create peace or spark conflict. Water can lead us out of crisis. Prosperity and peace rely on water. Collaboration and cooperation between all water users is crucial to maintain our water sources sustainably for ourselves and the environment. 💧The Phoenix Hub invites you to reflect on what water means to you today.
