This is really cool. More organizations are choosing to pay their donations and grants in Glo Dollars. When you make a regular donation, it's of philanthropic nature already. But when it’s in Glo Dollars (USDGLO), both the transaction and the currency used are philanthropic. 🪄 Hats off to the people involved with BioFi (cc Samantha, Emily, Tyler, Benjamin, Joe, Scott, etc.), Regen Coordination (cc Monty, Luuk, Sejal, Scott, and Izzy, etc.) and the Allo Builders round. Together, these organizations are contributing >$100K in USDGLO towards Gitcoin’s GG22 round. For every $25M donated (and held) in Glo Dollars, we generate ~$1M in extra funds for charitable causes—at no cost to the donor or recipient. If you’re looking to multiply the impact of your donations or grants, use Glo Dollars. We wrote a blog post about it → https://lnkd.in/evkCM4Nd

Find out how we helped our client, a coalition of international charitable foundations, develop a blockchain-powered platform that increases donations, expands reach, and reduces fees for charity foundations. The app we built helped the client raise more money more efficiently. The staking scheme enabled the platform to make the most of donations by eliminating any fees. #fintech #defi #charityplatform #softwaredevelopment #fundraising #softwaredevelopment

At MyGivingCircle we have over 2,000 charities collecting donations on our platform. Our system continually tests and optimises our donation page to find the best converting elements to maximise donations for our participating charities. One element we optimise is the default (suggested) donation amount we recommend, and the minimum donation we allow. People are free to change the default amount but it provides an 'anchor' for a recommended amount. Analysing over 3,000 recent donations we can see the best performing 'ask' is $30 default (suggested) amount and a minimum donation amount of $1. Interestingly almost no-one chooses $1, but obviously people like the flexibility of being able to choose any amount. If you have a different experience with the best performing recommended and minimum donation amounts I'd love to hear from you. If you want to register your charity for free with MyGivingCircle and benefit from the donation optimisation we perform for charities around the world, we'd love you to register for free at https://lnkd.in/gFeNweka

Glo Dollar is raising funds for its operations in Giveth's grant round—alongside 94 other organizations. Four reasons why this round is particularly exciting: 1️⃣ If you donate the equivalent of 1 dollar, your donation gets up to 90 dollars in matching thanks to the $50,000 matching pool (cc Open Dollar, Breeder DODO, Rage Trade). 2️⃣ You can donate in Glo Dollars to amplify your philanthropic impact. 3️⃣ Upon donating, you receive GIV tokens. With these tokens, Giveth rewards anyone who donates to verified organizations. 4️⃣ All the matching funds are disbursed in Glo Dollars. Not just to us, but to all 95 participating organizations. If you've not yet donated... 1 (Glo) dollar goes a really long way. 💫 ▶ https://lnkd.in/eVeagDJ5

Friction is great for physics but terrible for fundraising… Specifically on your donation pages… Keeping the donation form simple is crucial, as too much friction will cause donors to leave. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐁 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Test removing unnecessary form fields on your donation page. They may be adding friction to the giving process and creating confusion. One organization did just that and removed unnecessary steps, including: - A comment field - An option to cover the credit card processing fee - An option to give a gift on behalf of someone The result: A 107% increase in donations! So, as you set up your donation page, ask yourself: “Is that field really necessary?” If it’s not essential to complete the transaction, you probably don’t need it. #Nonprofit #OnlineFundraising #ABTesting #NextAfter

Are We In The Middle Of A Generosity Crisis? Charitable Giving Is Down 20 Million Households Some in the philanthropy world are calling today's donation participation a #GenerosityCrisis with less than half of American households now donating to charities (down 20 million households since 2016) and those that are donating have lowered their contributions due of their own economic situation. #Rellevate can help offset donation shortfalls by saving organizations thousands of dollars in disbursement costs. #CharitableGiving #NonProfit #NGO #GivingBack #FinTech #Disbursements #DigitalPayments

Keeping up my attempts to share useful things on here... If you're planning a donation-driving charity campaign, it's important to be specific about what you're going to do with the donation and who you're going to do it for. And I've double checked that advice, so that you don't have to: •People are more generous towards an individually identifiable recipient than a stastistically described group. (e.g. Schelling, 1968; Kogut and Ritov, 2005; Small, Loewenstein & Slovic, 2007; Sah & Loewenstein, 2012) •Providing tangible information about recipients increases donations. (Bachke, Alfnes, & Wik, 2017) •People donate more when receiving specific information about a charity’s intervention, such as how donations will be used. (Cryder et al., 2013) •Donors respond positively to specific outcome and impact information. (Karlan & Wood, 2017; Metzger & Gunther, 2019; Levine Daniel & Eckerd, 2019; Bodem-Schrotgens & Becker, 2020).

#CHARITY STARTS WITH THE 🧞♂️ 📣Calling all #charities Do you wish that you had a device available to you that took tailored fixed donations? A device that you could change the amounts and the message depending on where you are and what event you are attending? A Device that will process a donation with a tap of a button and fall back to the donation screen? A Device which you can turn off and on this donation page and when needed in normal circumstances falls straight back into a standard payment machine A Device which you can see centralised transactional data to see what donations are coming in The Genie is already in several charities, churches, mosques and service based businesses where donations or tips are requested daily. The feedback has been amazing. 🤩 The lamp will allow any charity to change the donation amounts and the text per device as well as track performance per terminal. For #donations and taking payments effectively and efficiently there’s nothing better than the 🧞♂️ by Modern World Business Solutions Tag a charity that could use our Genie 👇🏼
