People often advised me to 'stick to one thing' if I wanted to succeed. However, I felt torn because, while I envisioned myself in business and management, my heart was passionate about acting and performing. 🙈Looking back, I'm really glad that I followed my instincts and pursued both paths. This morning I had the pleasure of attending the Media For All [MEFA] coffee morning led by Shez Iqbal. Kauvery cum Biosis my acquaintance: Seventeen years ago, upon completing my initial 20-year bond with the IAF, the opportunity for a Manager Nursing position at Kauvery, then known as KMC, caught my attention. The organization's logo, which conveyed "People caring for people," greatly influenced my perception. During the interview, conducted by the founders themselves, their confidence in the company's growth and their encouragement for me to be part of the journey left a lasting impression. Despite taking a day to confirm the offer, I eventually trusted my intuition, accepted the position, and joined the organization on August 14, 2007. Reflecting on my experience in this same joining month, I take pride in the transparency displayed by the leaders at the top of the organizational hierarchy. Their responsiveness to employees and teams is a spectacular demonstration of leadership. Just as valor is crucial in the armed forces, honor and loyalty have become indispensable for individuals within this organization, shaping its distinctive culture based on strong values. Recognition for my contributions has been forthcoming, and the freedom to work and make decisions in alignment with cultural norms underscores the professionalism that empowers me. In this organization, the culture not only upholds values but also allows for individual empowerment. In addressing the inevitability of change, we neither force nor resist it; instead, we are prepared to adapt. The force of change and our willingness to embrace it contribute to the resilience of our culture. DICHOTOMY OF WINNERS AND LOSERS I've been reflecting on the nature of WINNERS AND LOSERS, victors and vanquished, success and failure, well as the saying goes, "_as long as there is a winner, a loser too will exist_." This cycle of triumph and defeat seems so deeply ingrained in the human experience😪😪😪 But what if we didn't have to think in those terms? What if we could move forward together, without the need to separate ourselves or stand out from the crowd?😌 Imagine a world where "different" didn't automatically mean "divided." I believe there is great power and beauty in unity - in embracing our shared humanity rather than our differences. Perhaps as book lovers and intellectuals, we can model a new way of interacting, one based on mutual understanding, empathy and a collective drive to grow and learn. I believe there is so much we can gain by shifting our mindset from competition to collaboration. Today let’s all try to explore this idea….we might just find a richer more fulfilling path forward 😌😌❤️
