Storing your safety equipment correctly is crucial for the shelf life of the equipment. You must have seen a "Store in a cool and dry/dark place, away from direct sunlight" on most products that you consume. However, when something still goes wrong then here's what you can do: 1. Begin with relocating the product/equipment if you're able to do so. Avoid direct contacts with the product if it's outer packaging/paint is showing chemical alterations. 2. And if you notice any sort of discoloration on the outer packaging/paint of the product, contact the supplier immediately and also ask for the potential hazards (in case you don't know much about the how-to of the product). 3. Ask for clarification about why it happened in the first place. [Applicable only if you stored it correctly following the required guidelines to do so.] 4. Get your storage location examined in case the problem is with it and not the product. [Generally the supplier advises on that.]
