I used to see a lot of them from Langendorf and Faymonville when I worked in Europe but never in North America. One of the main topics at glasstec – International Trade Fair this year is the circular economy. VITROSEP is one of the companies participating in the trade fair and their process for cleaning and recycling grinding water has been going on for a long time. It's a pleasure to see how this years’ work is now becoming a topical and very important detail. Everyone in the glass industry should pay attention to this new trend. For years, glass pre-treatment has involved the challenge of water recycling Since 1992, VITROSEP has been providing solutions for water treatment in the glass and optical industries. The company was born with the aim of solving the problem of glass particles.  As the scale of production, water treatment capacity and equipment are different for each company, this requires good planning to ensure that the equipment works optimally and provides individual attention. Water treatment has many other benefits, including reduced costs for diamond tools, energy and maintenance. They have less unproductive time, and their production processes are compatible with the environment. BCW Engineering Ltd Recap of ALUMINIUM - World Trade Fair and Conference 2024 It’s hard to believe that a week has passed since our visit to the Aluminium World Trade Fair in #Düsseldorf! The experience was truly insightful as we engaged with existing suppliers and explored potential new partnerships. We delved into various aluminium materials, with a focus on the 6000 series, and explored capabilities like bending, casting, and standardisation efforts in packaging. A key topic of discussion was #CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism). While there are still uncertainties in its requirements, many companies were confident that their carbon efficiency meets the standards. We explored a range of important topics, including: 🔹 Capabilities beyond extrusion, such as bending and casting 🔹 Packaging specifications for standardisation projects 🔹 Lead times, PPAPs, and deliveries 🔹 Geographical locations and turnovers 🔹 Innovation and future investments 🔹 Country of origin (CoO) and material traceability 🔹 Ongoing and new business with current suppliers From innovative manufacturing processes to discussions on future investments, the exhibition provided us with valuable knowledge and ideas to drive our projects forward.
