THE STORY IS ENOUGH. As charities, we have a responsibility to handle stories with respect. When producing charity films, we need to remember that these are the stories and experiences of real people. Using heavy production techniques like slow motion, can exploit vulnerable moments and emotions for dramatic effect, where the story should be enough. Trying to create moments and emotions that weren't there in the footage, is disrespctful of the audience, the storyteller and the ethics of the charity. Instead we should focus on approaches that prioritse dignity and authenticity. The story is enough.
