The pressure to be a "marketing genius" can be overwhelming and I think this is something we marketers can often put on ourselves. There's always something new to learn, a new platform, an update or even a whole new strategy that needs implementing. The truth is, no one person can do it all. Trying to be jack-of-all-marketing-tactics often leads to burnout, mistakes, and missed opportunities. I know in the past, I have overwhelmed myself by thinking I need to know (in great detail) all that there is to know about every marketing tactic! It's not possible. So I decided to ditch the unrealistic expectations and embrace a more collaborative approach by finding my 'who' and not the 'how' - because then our clients get even better results because they get more expert marketing.
