Students don't take mentorship programmes serious. University mentorship programs are IMPORTANT for closing the gap between academic learning and practical experience. Participating allows you as a students to obtain hands-on experience and industry insights that are not always available in the classroom, this is the part that students don't seem to get because why am I receiving countless emails from students dropping out because they no longer have time. They are only required to meet with their mentors to explore career options, get practical guidance, and learn skills that will set you apart in the job market once a month for an hour online or face to face but they don't seem to have that hour, why is that? Industry professionals want to engage with new viewpoints, help cultivate you and your talent, and keep you up to date on the latest developments with your potential industry so why are you not interested? I would love to find out from you students and yes I have sent surveys to them trying to get to the bottom o this but all they say is we don't have time.

Of foundations........ A good foundation for a house can be symbolically related to mentorship and development of life and soft skills for teens in several ways: ●Support and Stability: Just as a solid foundation supports a building, effective mentorship provides emotional and practical support for teens, helping them navigate life's challenges and uncertainties. This guidance fosters resilience and stability in their personal development. ●Skill Development: Foundations distribute weight evenly, preventing structural failure. Similarly, mentorship helps teens develop essential life and soft skills like communication, teamwork, and critical thinking that are crucial for success in both personal and professional realms. These skills act as the building blocks for future achievements. ●Adaptability: A well-constructed foundation can withstand environmental pressures. Mentorship encourages adaptability in teens by teaching them how to handle setbacks and learn from experiences, preparing them for the dynamic nature of adult life. ●Long-term Growth: Just as a strong foundation ensures a building's longevity, effective mentorship lays the groundwork for lifelong learning and growth, enabling teens to thrive in various aspects of life. In conclusion, both a solid foundation and mentorship are vital for fostering resilience, skill development, and long-term success. #stablefoundations #Mentorshipisalifeline #sproutlifeskills

Does everyone even know what I do ⁉️ 🦋 I am More Academy was founded to help a child, just like me, to know that they are ENOUGH. 💡 To show them that they are more: 👉🏽 More than their past. 👉🏽 More than their current situation. 👉🏽 And that they can be ANYTHING they want to be when they grow up ✨ I Am More Academy is here to support students and young people by helping them: ✅ Explore #possibilities. ✅ Build #confidence. ✅ Develop power #skills for life: social & emotional intelligence, self-awareness, #resilience, and a positive mental attitude. ✅ Strive for #success—whatever that looks like for them. All schools do a fantastic job🌟 … but there’s a real need for alternative #education too. There’s nothing more satisfying than working with disengaged students: 👉 Those who won’t even look me in the eye on day one. 👉 The ones who stay muted, unengaged, or feel isolated. 💪 My superpower? Breaking the ice🧊 I’ve seen students with poor #attendance start showing up because they enjoy our sessions. I’ve seen them find #solace, #connection, and #belief in themselves again. Our work is entirely #student-led 🎯 and #tailored because no two students are the same. Sessions can start in one area and flow into something completely different, depending on what that student needs at that moment. #adaptable While we focus on #career #aspirations and #employability, a HUGE part of what we do is about LIFE: ❤️ Healthy relationships. 📏 Understanding boundaries. 🌍 Navigating the real world. And as a multi-entrepreneur, I love inspiring students to #dream big—not just about working for others, but about starting something of their own. If you’ve got students who would benefit from: 🤝 Mentorship (small groups or one-to-one). ✨ Building confidence and self-belief. 🛠️ Learning skills to thrive in and beyond education … 👉 Let’s have a conversation! Yes, Christmas is coming, and I know the build-up is CRAZY busy. 🎄 But let’s plan for #January—that first week back when so many students are #dysregulated, #struggling with transitions, and not coping with day-to-day education. 🤝Relational practice is for everyone and we work with mainstream, alternative provision, medical AP and EOTAS packages. #Inclusive is our thing ✨ #devon #torbay #relationalpractice #alternativeprovision #mainstream #educstion #students #mentorship #collaboration #connection #care

Mentorship can be one of the most powerful resources for career growth. A good mentor provides not only insights and guidance but also encouragement and a sense of direction. For young people, especially students who may lack exposure to various career paths, a mentor can be the key to unlocking potential and shaping decisions that lead to a fulfilling career. As part of this belief in mentorship’s transformative power, SAFE INITIATIVE is launching a mentorship project specifically for secondary school students. Our program will focus on guiding SS3 students as they prepare for higher education and embark on the next stage of their journey. By pairing them with mentors, we aim to provide the knowledge, resources, and encouragement that many of us wish we had at that age. The project will focus on: -Career Guidance: Helping students explore diverse career options and understand the educational paths to get there. -Exam Preparation: Offering practical support and study techniques to prepare for their final exams. -Personal Development: Building confidence, resilience, and skills essential for their future. -Ongoing Support: Mentors will be there to answer questions, offer advice, and share real-life experiences, giving students a roadmap for their ambitions. We believe that mentorship early in life can be the catalyst for young people to thrive and make confident choices. For those of us who’ve had mentors, we know the difference it makes. Let’s give back by creating these same opportunities for the next generation! #Mentorship #YouthEmpowerment #SAFEInitiative #CareerDevelopment #GivingBack

Every day presents a new opportunity to learn, grow, and innovate. As someone deeply passionate about education and personal development, I firmly believe that the journey of learning never truly ends. It's a continuous cycle of discovering, applying, and evolving.I recall a defining moment early in my career when I encountered a group of students struggling with traditional teaching methods. Their disengagement was palpable, and I knew that I had to find a way to reach them. This challenge sparked a profound shift in my approach to teaching. I started to incorporate technology, interactive sessions, and real-world problem-solving into my curriculum. The transformation was remarkable. Not only did the students become more engaged, but they also started to excel and develop a genuine love for learning. This experience taught me that education is not a one-size-fits-all model. It's about adapting to the needs of each student, finding innovative ways to make learning exciting and relevant, and continuously seeking new methods to improve the educational experience. It's about fostering a growth mindset, where challenges are seen as opportunities to learn and grow. One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey has been witnessing the impact of these changes. Former students have reached out to share their successes, attributing their achievements to the skills and confidence they gained in my classes. These moments reaffirm my commitment to education and inspire me to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible. As we move forward, let’s embrace the idea that learning is a lifelong journey. Whether it's through formal education, personal exploration, or professional development, every step we take is a step towards a better, more informed version of ourselves. Let's stay curious, keep asking questions, and never stop seeking knowledge. To everyone out there striving for improvement, remember this: You have the power to shape your destiny through continuous learning and innovation. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the milestones, and keep pushing forward. Together, we can achieve remarkable things. #LifelongLearning #InnovativeEducation #GrowthMindset #MoshoodCares

The Importance of Education in Self-Discovery Education is often seen as the key to career opportunities, but its value goes much deeper. At its heart, education is a powerful tool for self-discovery. It helps us understand our identities, passions, and potential. From a young age, education exposes us to diverse ideas and perspectives. We learn not just from textbooks but from the experiences of others around us. This diversity encourages critical thinking and helps us question and refine our beliefs, forming the foundation for self-awareness. Education also opens doors to exploration. Whether through subjects like art, science, or literature, students are able to uncover interests they may not have considered before. For some, this might mean discovering a passion for writing or technology, which can be further explored through extracurricular activities, clubs, or projects. Beyond the classroom, activities like sports, music, and volunteer work also play a significant role in self-discovery. They help develop new skills, build confidence, and highlight strengths—all while fostering teamwork and leadership. Perhaps most importantly, education teaches us resilience. Facing challenges in academics and extracurriculars helps us learn to adapt, overcome obstacles, and view setbacks as opportunities for growth. This resilience is key to personal development and self-discovery. Mentorship is also invaluable in this journey. Teachers and mentors guide us, helping to identify our strengths, interests, and potential career paths, providing clarity along the way. Ultimately, education is not just about gaining knowledge; it’s about understanding ourselves and how we relate to the world. It encourages us to keep asking meaningful questions, explore new avenues, and continue learning long after the classroom days are over. #Education #SelfDiscovery #PersonalGrowth #LifelongLearning #Resilience #Leadership

Bringing Back the Student in Us: Can We Rediscover That Joy? We’ve all felt it — the nostalgia and excitement that come with thinking about our student days. The thrill of learning, exploring new ideas, and bonding with peers. Many of us, even years into our professional lives, dream of going back to being a student. But do we really get that same joy when we return to learning, with all the pressure and stress of life bearing down on us? In today’s world, where professional commitments and personal expectations weigh heavily, it seems difficult to recapture that carefree student mindset. However, I believe that the student within us never truly goes away — we just need to reconnect with it. So how do we bring back that sense of wonder and curiosity in our busy, often stressful lives? Here are a few ways to reignite the student in you: Adopt a Growth Mindset: Approach learning with the mindset that every experience is a chance to grow. See challenges as opportunities, just like you did when you were a student. Curiosity Over Perfection: Shift your focus from "getting it right" to "what can I learn?" Ask questions, make mistakes, and embrace the joy of discovery. Curiosity opens up space for creativity and reduces the burden of perfection. Find Your Tribe: Surround yourself with a community of like-minded learners. Whether it's a book club, a professional forum, or a virtual class, being with people who share your passion for learning can recreate that student camaraderie. Take Breaks, Not Just Tasks: Students have natural rhythms for study and rest. Learn to balance work with downtime and reflection. Short breaks and reflection periods are essential to keeping the learning process enjoyable. Celebrate Small Wins: As professionals, we often wait for the "big achievements" to feel validated. But just like we celebrated finishing an assignment or acing a quiz as students, we should learn to acknowledge the small steps we take toward growth. The joy of being a student isn’t lost forever. It can be rekindled, even amidst the hustle of our professional lives. The secret is to let curiosity and passion guide us — just like they did back then. What do you do to bring back the joy of learning? Let’s share some tips and get that student mindset back! #LifelongLearning #GrowthMindset #ProfessionalDevelopment #BeAStudentAgain
