We at Gofore are committed to fostering an environment where employees can be their authentic selves. Encouraging open conversations helps us create and maintain a more inclusive and safer workplace for everyone. 🧡 Director of People Operations Sanna Hildén: "The feeling of being accepted for who you are is at the heart of an inclusive work environment. At Gofore, we have recently had eye-opening discussions about vulnerability related to the question, 'Am I okay like this?'. As long as we have the courage to ask rather than make assumptions about each other, we're on the right track." Read more in our latest blog post by our Head of Culture & EX Anni Roinila: https://hubs.ly/Q02CpZH70 To gain deeper insights into these crucial areas, we are participating in the Finnish State of Inclusion 2024 survey by Includia Leadership. This research will help us continue improving and ensuring that Gofore remains a place where everyone feels valued and included. We will share the results and concrete measures of our DEIB work regularly. #DEI #GoforeCrew

𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 In Ryde, a community that embraces over 110 nationalities, diversity truly blossoms. This is the place I call home - a place where I became an Australian citizen, surrounded by friends from every continent, united in being part of this country. Here, our gatherings are rich with the spirit of inclusion, a tapestry of cultures, stories, and connections. Ryde’s multiculturalism serves as a beautiful reminder of the potential for inclusivity in all communities. While not every place shares this level of diversity, the values of understanding and belonging transcend boundaries, bringing us closer together no matter where we are. Sometimes, the barriers we build between us are invisible - shaped by unconscious biases we don’t even realise we carry. Tools like the Harvard Implicit Association Test, endorsed by Diversity Council Australia Ltd, help us uncover these biases and open our hearts to the people around us. It’s through this awareness that we unlock true empathy, allowing us to see each other not as strangers, but as human beings worthy of respect and care. When leaders - at all levels - recognise their biases, they can: • 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆, building deeper, more meaningful relationships. • 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 in recruitment, leadership, and everyday interactions. • 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 in a way that creates lasting success for everyone. With greater awareness comes compassion, shaping decisions that create environments where everyone—whether at work, in healthcare, or education—feels like they belong. But it starts with each of us. What small step will you take today to ensure that everyone in your world feels valued and celebrated? 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲. #Inclusion #Action #SmallSteps

Inclusion ignites action. A little over a year ago, a new hire to my team, Abdur Rahman, came to my office hours for an introductory chat. Within moments, he had my full attention. Abdur explained that he was the first Pakistani, and also the first Muslim, in my team's history. I could tell that he was a bit nervous, but I encouraged him to share more. He then told me that Ramadan was beginning soon and he'd be fasting from dawn till dusk for the next 30 days. Can you imagine starting a new job, at Google, and not eating or drinking during your workday? I encouraged Abdur to share this with his team, both for awareness and support. What happened next, is nothing short of beautiful. Not only did Abdur's team welcome his personal story, but they decided to join him in fasting, launching rPSA EMEA's first Ramadan fastathon. Fast forward to 2024, and we now have another Muslim on our team, the wonderful Zeina Yasser. Together, Abdur and Zeina have sparked inclusion in action, delivering 2.5X impact over 2023, with even more good will to boot. I did the Fast Fast (see below), with many of my larger non-Muslim team members taking the OG challenge. I can assure you, there is no better way to build awareness than to spend a day in someone else's shoes. Special recognition to the enlightened Will Wallace for cultivating a team culture that allowed Abdur to bring his full self to work. For any leader with a team member who observes Ramadan, please consider stealing this idea with pride. Results✴️ Fastahon Participants: 22, +144% y/y Total Hours Fasted: 273, +170% y/y Total Meals Collected: 273, +170% y/y #Google #Leadership #Ramadan #Fastathon
