Mining Pages – a platform for ALL technical mining consultants and contractors. If you have looked at the Find Consultants page on Mining Pages you will notice that we have a strong focus on the individual. This is to ensure that our specialised filters can be used to full effect and that mining companies can then find the right consultant for the job. Currently we have 27 consultants using the platform to advertise their services. The businesses that are on there include sole traders right through to businesses of 10-20 people. Most of these businesses just have the one profile as this is the key contact for their business. Whilst we are a strong advocate for sole traders and small businesses, our vision is to become Australia’s premier online directory for technical mining consultants and contractors therefore we would like to invite those medium to large consultancies to join as well. If you are a part of a medium to large consultancy, we recommend selecting 1-2 of your key people from each discipline (Mining, Geology, Geotech etc) and creating a profile for them. This will ensure your business will get some good coverage on Mining Pages and that only the key people would be contacted regarding work, and they could either do it themselves or delegate to their team (this should be highlighted in their bio if so). We wanted to be different to your usual run of the mill business directory which just lists the business as a whole (there are many out there like this) and that is why we have a strong focus on the individual. I want to emphasise that we are a platform for ALL technical mining consultants and contractors, and I will be posting an article early next week about the benefits of using sole trader’s vs a larger consultancy. As they each have their pros and cons and as a mining company seeking a consultant you should calculate what exactly you are after. Great news for CQ! A new underground coal mine expansion officially opened today with the cutting of its first coal marking a significant milestone in Central Queensland’s mining history. The new underground operations at Coronado’s Curragh Complex, located 14 kilometres north of Blackwater, will generate an additional 259 full time jobs.

We have completed the scheduled overhaul, and she is now heading back up the Hunter Valley. A mining feed breaker is a machine used in the mining industry to reduce the size of large, bulky materials (such as coal) into smaller, more manageable pieces. The primary function of a feed breaker is to break down the raw material as it is extracted from the mine, ensuring that it is of an appropriate size for further processing or transport. Feed breakers typically consist of a heavy-duty rotor equipped with rotating crushing elements (such as hammers or teeth) and a conveyor system that feeds the material into the breaker. As the material passes through the machine, it is crushed or broken down to a predetermined size, which helps prevent blockages and improves the efficiency of downstream processing equipment.
