The 29th Conference of the Parties (#COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will take place in #Baku, #Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22,2024. This conference aims to build on previous climate agreements and address pressing global climate challenges. The agenda will cover various themes each day, including: - World Leaders Climate Action Summit (November 12-13) - Finance, Investment, and Trade (November 14) - Human Capital and Health (November 18) - Nature and Biodiversity (November 21) - Final Negotiations (November 22) #COP29 is expected to focus on enhancing #climatefinance, implementing #Article6 of the Paris Agreement for better carbon markets, and addressing loss and damage from climate impacts. The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (#COP29) is starting today, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Over the next two weeks, world leaders and representatives from international organisations, #NGOs and civil society organisations will convene and delve into insightful discussions on extremely important goals: to negotiate and agree action on how to tackle climate change and limit the global temperature increase to 1.5°C.
