A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this year’s Annual Giving Tree a success!🎄
Because of your kindness and generosity, nearly 200 children of our Excel Center and Goodwill Career and Technical Academy (GCTA) families will experience the magic of the holidays. You’ve brought joy, hope, and smiles to families working hard to transform their lives. ❤️
We are so grateful to our incredible community for making this special tradition possible year after year. Together, we’re truly spreading the spirit of the season!

Cheer + Periodicals = Cheeriodicals
At least that was the original plan.
Early in our businesss evolution, we realized we could make more impact by delivering Cheeriodicals to hospitals full of kids rather than just one child at a time. Team Building "That Matters" was born as it gave us the power to mulitiply our impact exponentially.
That said, we still include periodicals (magazines) when we can.
Thank to Owlkids for providing us copies of kids magazines to include in our team building events that benefit children's hospitals.

At Brighton Our World, we often ponder the impactful lessons that children absorb through the simple act of giving. When children participate in acts of kindness and generosity, they're not just helping others; they're embarking on a valuable learning journey.
Through giving, children learn empathy, understanding the feelings and needs of others. They discover the joy of selflessness and the fulfillment that comes from contributing to the happiness and well-being of those around them. They understand the power of community and the importance of playing an active role in it. Moreover, giving teaches children about gratitude, encouraging them to appreciate what they have and understand the value of generosity. It fosters a sense of responsibility, showing them that they have the power to make a positive change, no matter their age.
So, what do children learn through giving? They learn lessons of love, kindness, and the interconnectedness of our world. They learn that even the smallest act of giving can make a big difference.
At https://lnkd.in/gXYKxB48, we encourage and nurture these values in our community, for they are the foundation of a compassionate and caring society.

Had a great lunch yesterday with the fam.
It was a celebration of all the memories made this summer and the start of a new school year.
This summer while the kids have been home, I have reflected a lot on how quick childhood goes and the legacy we leave with our kids.
As we begin a a new school year, #simplicity is the word we are focusing on in our house.
#Q4 is basically already here. How can you live more #simply?

Operation: Spread Love
Investing in Our Future, One Classroom at a Time
Today, I had the distinct honor of blessing my daughter’s class, her teachers, and the security guards at Dorothy I. Height Elementary School in Washington, D.C., with holiday gifts. This act of gratitude and love is part of a new initiative close to my heart: Operation: Spread Love, an outreach effort led by me and The Servicemen to recognize and uplift the unsung heroes in our children’s lives.
The concept is simple yet powerful: fathers (and anyone else who feels called) should sponsor their children’s classrooms and caretakers. Why? Because the education sector is one of the most thankless professions, yet these individuals are stewards of America’s greatest national treasures—our children.
By sponsoring a classroom, you’re not just giving gifts; you’re making an investment in your child’s future, in the futures of their peers, and in the entire village that nurtures them. You’re sending a clear message to educators and caretakers: We see you, we value you, and we appreciate you.
This initiative is more than a gesture; it’s a challenge to reflect on your role in the village it takes to raise a child. Where do you stand in the tribal structure that shapes your child’s future?
For me, I’ve chosen to be the chief of my tribe. I’m ensuring our shared future by investing in those who hold it in their hands daily—our teachers, our caretakers, and the classmates who will grow alongside my daughter to build tomorrow’s world.
So, I ask: How will you spread the love this season?
Join me in showing the stewards of our children’s futures that they are appreciated and valued. It’s a simple act with immeasurable impact. Together, we can create a ripple effect of gratitude, love, and community investment.

YOU DID A GREAT JOB!
I spent this afternoon volunteering at Girl Child's elementary school for their annual Field Day. Hoop tosses, tug-of-war, sack races, etc.
I was in charge of the cornhole station. Many of the kids were shy or hesitant, and became frustrated if the first toss wasn't a point.
So, I started cheering them on.
"Great job, buddy!"
"Way to go, girlfriend!"
"You did great! Go try again!"
If they made a hit, I whooped and hollered. Did a little victory dance. Ran over and gave them a high-five. Pointed out their success to their teacher.
The kids bloomed. They smiled. They laughed. They came back for more high-fives.
They came back to try again. They cheered themselves and each other on.
And standing there under the hot Florida sun cheering and dancing and whooping, I realized something: Everyone likes to be told they're doing a good job.
(Okay, maybe not everyone. But, like, ... almost everyone.)
Sometimes, we only cheer each other on when we really knock it out of the park. When we're 11 out of 10. Everything else is "doing the job."
Truth, but I think a word of encouragement--or a victory high-five--when someone learns something new or is clearly trying to be better can help keep them motivated.
Have you told someone they're doing a good job today?

The Remarkable Legacy of Giving: 22 Years of Feeding 200+ People
For the past 22 years, my parents have upheld an incredible tradition?
Every single year, they’ve fed over 200 people without missing a beat. Yes, you read that right—22 years and counting!
This isn’t just about providing meals; it’s about creating a sense of community, spreading joy, and fostering connections. Imagine the countless stories, smiles, and gratitude shared over these meals.
Here are a few lessons I’ve learned from their unwavering commitment:
1. Consistency is Key: Whether it’s in our personal lives or professional endeavors, showing up consistently can create monumental impacts over time.
2. Small Acts, Big Impact: You don’t have to move mountains to make a difference. Sometimes, it’s the small, regular acts of kindness that resonate the most.
3. Building Community: When you give selflessly, you don’t just help others; you also build a network of support, trust, and mutual respect.
This tradition has been a beacon of inspiration for me.
It’s a reminder that true success isn’t just measured by personal achievements but by the positive impact we have on others.
Lesson: Embrace Consistency and Purpose
Their dedication has taught me that no matter how busy life gets, staying committed to our values and passions can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on our own lives. What consistent actions can we take to make a difference?

👊 Struggles don’t define you—they shape you.
At Celtic Financial Planning Ltd, our latest Christmas campaign is about more than just giving; it’s about creating hope. This year, we’re supporting three families who are facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
🤔 For me, this campaign is deeply personal. Producing the accompanying video was one of the hardest things I’ve done. It brought back memories of my own childhood struggles, while also highlighting the challenges these families endure today. Just hours before filming, I learned that one of the families’ grandfathers had been given a terminal diagnosis and would be spending his last Christmas with them. That news hit me hard. The video is raw because so are the emotions behind it.
As a child, I saw my parents sacrifice everything to ensure my brother and I had what we needed. I’ll never forget my dad breaking down as he handed me £20, saying it was all he had for Christmas. Those experiences taught me two things: to work hard and to always be grateful. They also instilled in me a drive to give back, which is why community and charity are central to my business philosophy.
🏆 I firmly believe that we rise by lifting others. That’s not a typical corporate mantra in financial services—and honestly, I don’t care. For me, success isn’t measured in profit margins or awards; it’s measured in the lives we touch.
🙏 One family shared this message with me: “We felt like humanity had left us, but a stranger paying for Christmas has restored our faith in kindness.”
If you can, help others. It doesn’t have to be grand—sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness leave the greatest impact.
🎁 Celebrating the Spirit of Giving with Celtic Financial Planning 🎁

From a #90sKid to #GenZ: 2 Cents You’ll Thank Me For Later
Here’s the thing about being a 90s kid: we didn’t just exist; we participated. And while #trends evolve, a few timeless lessons are worth carrying forward. So, here are two gems I’d pass on to the Gen Z squad:
1. #Volunteer Like Your #Confidence Depends On It
Because it does. Every time you step up—whether it’s a school project, community drive, or a random activity—you’re not just helping others; you’re silently building self-esteem and unshakable confidence. Trust me, saying “I did that” hits differently.
2. #Compete Gracefully, Not Ruthlessly
We didn’t #hustle for the grades—we hustled to make masterpieces. The goal was to create work so good the teacher might just frame it or keep specimen copy for the library. It wasn’t about beating others; it was about showing yourself what you’re truly capable of.
Your best self isn’t found in shortcuts; it’s built with intention.
What’s stopping you from showing up today? Take this as your nudge to volunteer, compete, and make every effort count.
