We the adults need to be clued up about what dangers our #children and #young people are exposed to in the form of weapons on the streets of the U.K. This video highlights the much deeper issues surrounding weapons and the access to them. The ban on #Zombie knives is a good start but we have much bigger fish to fry!! I can't believe some of the things our children have access too and I don't even know the mindset of those who freely make money selling such destructive and #harmfulweapons. Yes, some are used for #hunting and other sporting activities and we need better legislation and licensing for those who require for their work etc. There is absolutely no reason for myself or others in ‘regular lifestyles’ to have or be able to obtain such things; I see no purpose in having gloves with a built in taser, maybe if I lived in Alaska!! The North Carolina @earnyourwingstour Tour Partners have hosted their first Virtual Meet and Greet and have set the date for the NC TOUR Destinations. According to the @CarolinaJournal, "A recent survey of major US cities shows violent crime is declining nationwide, but it’s growing in some of North Carolina’s major cities, such as Charlotte and Raleigh. An uptick in violent crime in major US cities can be seen from the first half of 2023, according to a mid-year survey, comparing current rates to the mid-year report from 2019. The survey accounts for homicide, robbery, rape, and aggravated assault. So far this year, as of June 30, Charlotte has racked up 61 homicides, 121 rapes, 667 robberies, and 2,844 aggravated assaults. 327 Americans are shot each and every day. We had over 655 mass shootings in 2023. Notwithstanding what this says about a society and culture (I am staying clear of that on LinkedIn), it is exceedingly costly (see the data in this infographic) in terms of life and treasure. Each and every one of us is paying thousands of dollars to sustain a way of life that includes having to deal with preventable death and injury with lifelong consequences. The impact on businesses is very real. The impact on families is crushing. The impact on communities is driving collective anxiety and despair.

Here’s a list of the top 10 worst places to live in Florida if you’re relocating from California or New York. 1. Jacksonville - one of the worst places to live in the country. Leads crime per capita, including trafficking, drugs, homicides, property thefts 2. Lake City - high poverty and crime rates 3. Orlando - youth gangs and criminality are on the rise 4. Tampa - businesses are fleeing the area due to gun and gang violence. Is a notorious area for trafficking 5. Pompano Beach/Fort Lauderdale - murders and gun violence 6. Gainesville - This college town is known for its gun violence and property thefts 7. West Palm Beach/Lake Worth - Gang violence and property thefts 8. Miami Beach - least safe place to live based on the crimes per square mile 9. Daytona Beach - high levels of murder, violence and property crimes 10. Tallahassee - high crimes, low wages Other places that didn’t make the top ten but you’d want to steer away from is Lake Worth, Lauderhill, Riviera Beach, Opa-Locka, Cocoa, Sanford, Boynton Beach, Melbourne and Florida City. We appreciate our freedoms. My advice is to always carry as a safety measure. Law enforcement is short staffed all over the state and cannot always get to you in a timely manner. Always have a charged up cell phone on you. When out in public, pay attention to your surroundings, look confident while keeping your head on a swivel. Do not have your face in your phone! If you’re a cash user, you are a target for pickpockets. Gas stations are notoriously riddled with crime. Ladies, keep your purse and cell phone on you while pumping gas.
