I'm just so proud and inspired by the work our team did with the Gemini API Developer Competition, and it definitely shows in why 45.5K developers joined in:  1. We Showed What’s Possible: The competition was a phenomenal opportunity to encourage developers to try Gemini API and see for themselves all the new possibilities they can unlock in their work. Every submission was a case study for the incredible impact developers can make with our tools.   2. We Chose a Theme that Resonates: Picking the world’s fastest DeLorean as our grand prize was more than a publicity stunt—it was about shared values. Back to the Future is a beloved classic that centers imagination and adventure. We wanted to tap into that nostalgia to encourage folks to fully harness their own creativity and embark on their own journey to bring their ideas to life. 3. We Created Community: The Gemini API Developer Competition was launched at Google I/O 2024 in order to drum up excitement among our community! Since then, we’ve been releasing footage of the DeLorean (https://lnkd.in/gRTi9_9n) and hosted Christopher Lloyd to tease our winner results (which you can find below).  4. We Led with Developers: We invited devs to vote for their favorite submission to win the People’s Choice Award (https://lnkd.in/g4rQHKyw) because it’s important that the community we serve is included in the decisions we make. OAuth - My first taste of authorization and authentication. This week I got into the weeds of: • Constructing authorization URLs • Understanding authorisation flows • Exchanging auth codes for Tokens • Handling redirects and extracting auth codes • Utilising auth codes to fetch data from APIs like spotify Finally working on integrating the OAuth flow into my React Application's FeatureComponent()'s. Not forgetting to keep with modular design by using utility functions in my fetchUtils.js and authUtils.js files to execute my component functionality via useEffects().

🚀 Simplifying Authentication with Kong & GoLang! Here is the authentication flow I’m building for my microservices! Here's the tech stack: Kong API Gateway: For JWT validation and centralized routing. GoLang: Powering my microservices and auth logic. 🔐 How It Works: 1️⃣ User logs in → Auth service generates a JWT. 2️⃣ Requests go through Kong, which validates the JWT (signature, claims, etc.). 3️⃣ If valid, Kong forwards the request to services with user info in headers. 4️⃣ Services process the request and return the data securely.
