Gore Aerospace & Defense Products’ Post

🌌 Gore Aerospace & Defense Products is excited about the sponsorship of the new Diverse Universe Wall at Lowell Observatory! This remarkable exhibit celebrates the achievements of diverse minds in space exploration, including our very own Bob Gore, whose groundbreaking discoveries paved the way for many of the aerospace materials we rely on today. 🚀 With a legacy of over 100 failure-free missions into space, Gore is proud to have played a vital role in humanity's journey beyond Earth. From contributing to the success of the Telstar 1 satellite to supporting the first moon landing, our materials have been integral to advancing space exploration and innovation. At Gore, we believe diversity drives innovation. Just as every planet and galaxy is unique, so are the perspectives that fuel exploration. We're proud to support this exhibit and inspire the next generation of pioneers. https://lnkd.in/e99Xfzph #TogetherImprovingLife #DiversityInSTEM #Innovation #SpaceIndustry

Gore is proud to sponsor the new Diverse Universe Wall at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff! 🧠 💭 We believe diverse views, ideas and people help strengthen our enterprise and our ability to innovate and improve lives across the globe. This exhibit features brief biographies of cosmic explorers and scientists — just as no two planets, stars or galaxies are alike, neither are the people who study them. There are 70 plaques on the wall honoring diverse contributors to space, including Bob Gore who discovered the core material used in many of our aerospace products. 🛰 🚀 When Gore was founded in 1958, developing products that support space exploration was a top priority for our enterprise. In 1962, Gore played an important role in the success of the Telstar 1 satellite, which relayed the first television pictures, telephone calls, facsimile images, and provided the first live transatlantic television feed. In 1969, our technology was part of the first moon landing. Gore’s wire, cable and fabrics products have been part of more than 100 failure-free missions in space. These products continue to play a role today in GPS, cellular connectivity, satellite radio and more. #TogetherImprovingLife #STEM #Innovation #SpaceIndustry
