Working as one team: learnings from our first-of-its-kind NHS-Industry collaboration with Roche UK In the early stages of our partnership it was important to clearly communicate our aims as well as the roles and responsibilities within the team. In order to make this process as smooth as possible we recommend: • Regular team calls • Open and honest feedback sessions • Creating a ways-of-working operational framework • Impact retrospectives and planning discussions “In this partnership we have built up trust and overcome challenges to work as ‘one team’. It is very important to create a good strong team working environment where everyone is comfortable to speak freely and raise issues. We want to make sure everyone is heard, and we hear from all perspectives.” Victoria Stevens, Partnership Project Manager, GOSH Read more and download the playbook here https://lnkd.in/ek__j9nu [part 6 of 6] #NHSInnovation #Healthinnovation #Healthcarecollaboration #Datascience #AIinhealthcare #Innovationplaybook #Healthstrategy

We forget that change management is part of our day to day life. This five part series highlights this in a different way. I hope you find the series funny, myself and Jean Dowsett had a great time making the videos but also please take 5 minutes to think about change in a different way, and instead of being 'scared' when change management is mentioned, think about how you do this everyday and how it can be broken down into small pieces #cfspscares #WeareIQVIA
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our five-part series, “Questions in the Bowl,” featuring Claire Rielly. In this unique series, we delve into the dynamics of change and the intricacies of change management. Don’t miss out on these sessions—Claire offers some genuinely insightful and amusing answers to our probing questions. Tune in for a blend of wisdom and wit! #cfpscares #WeAreIQVIA To explore opportunities at IQVIA click here: https://lnkd.in/eNJ3c2er

As a Project Manager in clinical trials, mastering #metrics, #KPIs, and #dashboards can significantly improve how you track progress and make decisions. But what are the 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀? How are they 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱? And how can you 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 effectively? Let’s break it down: 🔍 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 – These detailed data points help you monitor specific aspects of your project. Metrics give you an operational view of how things are running. 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬: Patient enrollment rates; Site activation timelines; Adverse event (AE) rates ⚖️ 𝐊𝐏𝐈𝐬 (𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬) – KPIs focus on the bigger picture. They are high-level measurements that show whether you're on track to meet critical project goals. 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬: Patients recruited within timeframe; Budget adherence; Protocol compliance 🖥️ 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 – Dashboards visually combine metrics and KPIs, providing you with a snapshot of your clinical trial's progress. They simplify decision-making by bringing real-time data together in one place. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤: Recruitment progress by region; Site performance metrics; Budget vs. actual spend analysis 🔗 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: • 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐏𝐈𝐬: Metrics provide granular data that informs your KPIs. • 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐏𝐈𝐬: They offer a consolidated view to quickly identify trends and issues. 💡 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫: • Use 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 for day-to-day monitoring. • Focus on 𝐊𝐏𝐈𝐬 to evaluate whether you're meeting key objectives. • Leverage 𝐝𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 to visualize progress and communicate effectively with your team and stakeholders. Managing clinical trials is complex, but you can track, measure, and guide your projects with the right tools. 3 days to 3 years What did I learn ? One piece of advice that I would give is to take a leap of faith when an opportunity presents itself. This advice hits close to me as I personally followed it 3 years ago to join Eisai as a Managing Director . Did I think I was ready that time - NO ! I was nervous like many of you. What I knew was I love bringing science to patients transforming their lives and building an inclusive ( unconventional ) environment to allow talents to thrive. 3 years in 3 days since I had this opportunity to lead and transform the organisation ( given the change in focus areas ) and here’s what I learnt last 12 months in this organisational transformative journey: 1. Communicate, communicate and communicate- over communicate is better in effort to transform especially if you have a diversed organisation ( given the background be mindful they may not understand the need of change hence not supporting ) 2. Build a safe space to learn, try , fail and try again - once our team internalises the new way of working , they will need to practice it , receive feedback/feedforward and reiterate until they are good . So you need to have them all - structured processes in place , learning clinics and ready coaches . 3. Invest in capabilities building - prioritise based on your organisation/team needs especially if you have limited resources but start investing ! Nurture the team with skills . Here’s the team I am proud of today - delivering science to patients at their best alleviating patients and families anxieties with their big heart and bursting energy ! I am looking forward already to leap to next phase of growth!
