June 10 Set for Apple's WWDC 2024 Keynote Announcement - https://lnkd.in/d3BYtfvn Apple just announced that the 35th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place June 10-14. Apple's WWDC 2024 keynote is scheduled for June 10 at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The remaining festivities are online and developer support is free. What should we expect at this year's keynote? WWDC is usually a software-focused event, so we may hear some details about the work Apple has been doing around AI over the last year. Other reports indicate that Apple will show a set of upcoming updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11, according to Keynote USA. The company is also likely to reveal the next operating system for the recently launched Apple Vision Pro headphones, visionOS 2. Apple has announced that Apple's WWDC 2024 keynote We may even get some new hardware announcements. While typically software-adjacent, last year's WWDC was packed with product announcements, from the aforementioned Vision Pro to the 15-inch M2 MacBook Air. The Mac mini hasn't appeared in recent product updates, so perhaps the company will announce an M3-based update. As for new software, there have been a lot of rumors about iOS 18. It has been reported that Apple could integrate Google's Gemini AI with Siri and various iPhone apps. See the suspicious capitalization of "Absolutely Incredible" in Apple's VP of Worldwide Marketing Brad Joswiak's post above for a nod of acknowledgment to the measure. It has also been suggested that the smartphone's software will allow users to place apps anywhere on the home screen grid and offer RCS support in the Messages app, along with the usual range of layout changes. The main event will be available on the Apple Developer app, Apple's website, and YouTube. The company is also inviting 50 winners of its annual Swift Student Challenge to attend WWDC in person. Using Apple phones at work is like taking a tailored suit on a hike. Flashy, but impractical. Here’s why you should choose Android every time. Android and its compatible devices are: 💰 Less expensive – the phones are far more affordable than Apple products ⏱ Longer lasting – you’ll most likely get support and security updates for a lengthier period than iOS 🪛 More adaptable – you’ll find Android devices in all shapes and sizes to suit your business. (Compare that to Apple’s lovely but limited range…) 👊 More durable – rugged Android devices will take the knocks; Apple’s… not so much 👋 More familiar – according to Statista, in 2024 around 70% of people worldwide use Android, which means your team probably knows the OS already. To continue our opening analogy, if you’re transitioning from end-of-service Windows CE, upgrade to the equivalent of tough, durable work clothes. That would be Android. Get the full picture in our post. 👇👇👇

Do you remember the times when Nokia was the undisputed leader in the mobile phone market? In 2007, the company controlled nearly half of the global market (exactly 49.4%)! However, just a few years later, Nokia ceased to be a giant, and its market share dropped to less than 3%. What happened? The main reason for Nokia's downfall was its inability to quickly adapt to the rapidly changing technology market. While Apple and Google were introducing innovations, Nokia clung tightly to its outdated Symbian software, which couldn't compete with more flexible systems like iOS or Android. It was this conservative strategy that was the final nail in the coffin for Nokia. Apple revolutionized the market with its intuitive interface and strong app ecosystem, while Google developed the open Android system, attracting developers from all over the world. Meanwhile, Nokia took too long to introduce new solutions, including the transition to the Windows Phone system. Although Windows Phone had potential, it couldn't keep up with the rapidly evolving ecosystems of Apple and Google, which offered significantly better user experiences. "Yesterday," Apple and Google were runners-up. Today, these two companies are leaders and must watch their backs and look for companies that could threaten them. One of their strategies is to invest in startups with interesting technology, to acquire them at the right moment. Example of such strategy is buying by Apple Beats Electronics. Acquiring Beats Electronics allowed Apple to enhance its music and audio technology, which later contributed to the development of Apple Music and improved audio products.
