Indian-inspired food company Masala Mama has introduced a 4-SKU line of protein-packed ready-to-eat legumes including Ooh La La Lentils, Cha Cha Chickpeas, La Bamba Black Beans and Rah-Rah Red Beans. Masala Mama’s new legume line is available at Sprouts Farmers Market, The Fresh Market and Earth Fare.

Whipped Fusion is seeking to shake up the whipped cream category with the launch of its flagship dairy-free, alcohol-infused (14% ABV) whipped cream. Available in a So Vanilla flavor, the product features an 18-month shelf life.
Single-serve luxury brownie and cookie maker LEXINGTON BAKES has relaunched its products to now feature a smaller size format and 25% less sugar per serving. The products have gone from 5-oz to a bite-size 2-oz treat and from $11 to $6, per consumers requests, according to the company.
Hero Bread has closed on a $21 million financing round, co-led by Cleveland Avenue, DNS Capital and Composite Ventures and participation from existing investor GreatPoint Ventures. Hero Bread has more than $68.5 million in total funding to date, according to the company.
Frozen food brand Balkan Bites has added Mini Phyllo Rolls to its southeastern European-inspired product line. The phyllo rolls, which may be prepared in the oven or an air fryer, are made with fresh phyllo dough and feature unbleached flour, extra virgin olive oil and butter. Flavors include spinach and cheese, beef and onion and cheese medley.
Tilray Brands announced the launch of a nonalcoholic beer brand, Runner’s High Brewing Company, targeting active consumers looking for a healthier alternative to beer. It will debut first in Atlanta, with an expansion into more markets planned for later this year.
