Last week, the Graça Machel Trust Malawi Advocacy team held a collaborative meeting with host organisations and our valued implementation partners and other stakeholders. The session was focused on reviewing key initiatives, assessing progress, and identifying systemic challenges that impact advocacy efforts. Together, we explored opportunities to strengthen our strategies and refine our approach to driving impactful outcomes. A significant highlight of the meeting was the development of our 2025 work plan - with renewed energy and a collective commitment, we are more excited than ever for the year ahead and the possibilities it holds! #GraçaMachelTrust

Let’s talk about something crucial for our community: Local Grassroots Advocacy. What is it? Grassroots advocacy means mobilizing people at the community level to address local issues and drive positive change. It’s all about the power of ordinary people coming together to make a difference. Why does it matter? 1. It gives YOU a voice in what happens in your own neighborhood. No issue is too small when it comes to improving our local lives! 2. Grassroots efforts build stronger, more connected communities. When we work together, we create bonds that make our neighborhoods better and more resilient. 3. Local issues need local solutions. Grassroots advocacy ensures that the changes we want to see are relevant and tailored to our specific needs. Hear firsthand experiences and strategies from those who have successfully mobilized their communities at our Annual Meeting's first Panel Session. Session Time: 8:45 am - 10:00 am. Register at www.gdpc.org / See you there! #Advocacy #Grassroots #Dallas #GreaterDallas #GDPC
