Drivers and passengers had to use underground roads and basement pick-up points—places where phones tend to lose network coverage and hence GPS functionality. Pferdt, who was until recently Google's Chief Innovation Evangelist, has been instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation at Google. He draws inspiration from Improv theatre and calls this the "Yes, and" approach. Instead of dismissing ideas, teams of peers, partners, and customers collaborate to create something valuable by building on each other's ideas. Here are a few examples: · the LEGO Group: Their design teams embrace "Yes, and," resulting in LEGO Ideas - a platform where fans submit designs, and the community collaborates on them.
