Calling all physician associate colleagues and PA students Studies have shown that there is some uncertainty over the diagnosis in half of the consultations in primary care and that the diagnosis is incorrect in around 1 in every 10 consultations. This has the potential to cause serious harm to patients and complaints and heartache for PA's, which makes it important to know how to manage diagnostic risk safely. SAFER Consulting has been developed to help clinicians manage diagnostic uncertainty more safely and to reduce the risk of errors in diagnosis.
