Thank You for the Invitation! I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to speak at the American Transaction Processors Coalition Conference on the topic of Cybersecurity and AI from an educational perspective. It has been a pleasure collaborating with such an exceptional group of professionals. Our engaging discussions have deepened my insights and underscored the vital role of integrating cybersecurity and AI in education. I look forward to continuing our partnerships and exploring new avenues for innovation together. (… it is nice to see myself in the short video below as well 🙂) This one-day conference, hosted by the American Transaction Processors Coalition (ATPC) and the ATPC Cyber Council, highlighted the critical cybersecurity work being done by the financial services sector, particularly the payments sector. The ATPC is a national coalition comprised of the world’s largest, global payment processors, banks, credit card companies, and financial services companies. ATPC member companies ensure that global payments move seamlessly across the world, while empowering and encouraging broader and more diverse participation in the financial services system. The ATPC Cyber Council is a unique group, part of the ATPC, that is comprised only of CISOs, CSOs, CIOs and CTOs who are on the front lines every day dealing with the operational impacts of cybersecurity. These U.S. based companies serve hundreds of millions of customer businesses across the globe daily and process hundreds of billions of transactions per year. Cybersecurity is one of the top priorities of the ATPC, which is also one of the few coalitions to have created a stand-alone Cybersecurity Council. The event featured panels and remarks from the high-level dignitaries including Federal officials from the White House, Federal agencies, Congress as well as a wide range of cyber experts and senior executives from the ATPC, Financial Services sector, state and local elected officials and more. It included a high-level discussion on cybersecurity issues, Artificial Intelligence, supply chain security and more. #ATPC #AI #Cybersecurity

Andrews, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and H. West Richards

DUO MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone or email. This makes it much harder for hackers to access your accounts, even if they know your password.

I'm beyond excited to be presenting my research at The Hague Program on International Cyber Security's annual conference in November. ⚫ In 2024, facing the world’s biggest electoral megacycle, technology companies have deepened and forged existing and newfound roles and responsibilities for safeguarding democratic processes. ⚫ Many major technology companies have published or updated their approaches to mitigating and addressing mis- and disinformation spread on their platforms or generated and amplified by their technology. ⚫ While industry-led agreements and principles on cyberspace and technology are not a new phenomenon, never before have technology companies taken such proactive and coordinated action directly in support of electoral integrity. 🔎 My paper explores what motivates technology companies to pioneer, support and coordinate voluntary, non-binding commitments to uphold democracy and specifically protect electoral integrity. What are the incentives and pressures underlying this action? What motivates independent and coordinated commitments, from promises to pledges?
Program is online for our 2024 Conference on International Cyber Security! ➡️ Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ejDrz-3E Featuring keynotes by Marietje Schaake, James Pamment and Ronald Deibert, and presentations by Pieter Wolters, Jack Goldsmith, Anna George, Kalimah Wasis Lestari, Samantha F., Enescan Lorci 羅埃尼, Jelena Vicic and Erik Gartzke, Marcelynne Aranha, Isabella Wilkinson, Chee Hae Chung, Victo José da Silva Neto and Frederik Zuiderveen Borgesius, Fabiola Schwarz, Murat Yilmaz, Lena Riecke, Ismael Deus Marques, MSc, Dorcus Olasya, Caroline Rabourdin, Joren Vrancken, Juan Ortiz Freuler, Tobias Burgers, Mark W.
