"On June 8, I had the honor to attend the International Seminar organized by the Indonesia Youth Consulting Summit (IYCS) with distinguished speakers Veerappan Swaminathan from Sustainable Living Lab, Rizyan Angga from ADUPI, Zulfikar Fathoni from DSS, Mukhlish Jamal Musa Holle from UGM, Constantine Karel from OCBC, Dr. Yulius from the Ministry of Cooperatives. I learned about the actions taken by companies in integrating ESG principles to enable resilience, enhance reputation and long-term sustainable growth in the business world. ESG is a criterion or framework used to evaluate a company's management system, performance, and behavior in two main aspects: environmental, social and governance. #IYCS #180DCUGM

To faster progress on the SDGs, through the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia, with support from UNDP, introduced the SDG Push Framework - a guide designed to address both immediate challenges and long-term goals. It’s about driving change through policy, finance, technology, and governance. The aim? To speed up Indonesia’s journey to achieving the SDGs with a clear action plan and ongoing support. Here's the game plan: 1️⃣ Scoping – Get a clear view of the current situation with data and trends. 2️⃣ Acceleration Dialogues – Open conversations with key stakeholders to find solutions. 3️⃣ Modeling – Test new ideas to see what works best for SDG progress. 4️⃣ Sustainable Finance – Secure the right funding to make SDG projects happen. 5️⃣ Acceleration Pathways – Turn insights into actionable steps to move faster. But honestly, what steps do you think are most crucial for accelerating SDG progress in Indonesia? and for those of us working in the private sector, what role should we play in supporting the SDGs? How can we contribute to this push? 😊

Abhishek Mittal, Partner-Credit, Aavishkaar Capital will be speaking at the Indonesia PEVC Summit 2025 at the St. Regis Jakarta on Jan 16th on the panel, "Balancing Impact and Alpha in Climate and ESG Investments". Abhishek will be joined by panelists - Nakul Zaveri, Partner and Co-Head of Climate Investment Strategy, LeapFrog Investments, Winston Mandrawa, CFA, Managing Director & Head of ASEAN, Affirma Capital, Lisa Genasci, Managing Director, Sustainable Finance, ADM Capital and will be moderated by Michelle Teo, Senior Journalist & Managing Editor, DealStreetAsia. The topic addresses concerns around rising climate change and the growing need for sustainable solutions have led to the sector garnering investor interest and funding. As financing is starting to flow as more and more funds are mushrooming to transform the economy and protect the environment. Identifying these opportunities is key to deploying capital responsibly and generating strong returns. Private capital, unlike government spending and philanthropic grants, can only be deployed where there are clear, investible opportunities to generate returns. Isolating these opportunities is critical to unlocking a wave of green investments in emerging markets. The panel will also delve into how investors are tapping opportunities in low-carbon technologies across energy, mobility, and agriculture sectors and how can green transition transform South and SE Asian economies. #IndonesiaPEVCSummit2025 #Conference #LeapFrogInvestments #AffirmaCapital #ADMCapital #AavishkaarCapital

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices in Indonesia are gaining significant attention as the country progresses towards sustainable development. Here are some key points regarding ESG in Indonesia: - Sustainable Transformation: Indonesia is incorporating ESG principles into its business and economic strategies. A report by PwC highlights Indonesia's commitment to ESG, with a focus on sustainability and environmental leadership, especially during its 2022 G20 Presidency. - Regulatory Framework: The Indonesian government and financial authorities are proactive in creating conditions for ESG adoption. This includes regulations like OJK Regulation No. 51/POJK.03/2017, which guides companies in sustainable practices. - Digital Economy and ESG: The digital economy is seen as a driver for inclusive growth, with digital tools expected to widen access to healthcare, education, and financial services, thereby supporting ESG targets. - Sustainable Finance: Indonesia is pioneering thematic bonds and seeking to mobilize private funding for sustainable projects under the OJK’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap. - nternational Engagement: Indonesia's role in international forums like the G20 and COP26 showcases its engagement with global sustainability goals and its aim to reach net-zero emissions by 2060. For businesses and investors, understanding and integrating ESG criteria into their strategies is becoming increasingly important in Indonesia. The country's focus on ESG presents both challenges and opportunities for long-term growth and sustainability. Muhammad Azfar Rachman Fauzia Seska Devi
