We designed this cinema room for the University of the Arts student accommodation scheme in Peckham, evoking nostalgia and creating a timeless escape from reality. But in the ever-evolving PBSA sector, do cinema rooms still hold their appeal? With rising living costs, many Gen Z students can benefit from destination amenity spaces within their accommodation. What better way to bond than over a classic movie night? I believe cinema rooms still have a significant place in PBSA. Creating interiors that are timeless is a topic we discuss in our latest blog. Timeless design encapsulates the creative division of space along with aesthetic appeal. In this cinema room, we aimed to achieve just that by dividing a large amenity space into zones for different activities. By blending vintage aesthetics with modern functionality, we created a space that feels both familiar and fun, perfect for socialising without breaking the bank! Today, in the episode of #OurTeam series, we are talking to our colleague, Delia Munteanu. Within our office, Delia is an interior designer and CG artist. Between us, Delia is the person who, by her presence, balances any discussion or object placed against the rules of #FengShui. 👩🏻🎨 When it comes to her work, Delia tells us about the importance of treating each project as a unique journey, where the client is the hero ready to step into a new chapter of their life. The designer’s role in this story is to help the client create a functional space that reflects their personality, a place called “home”. As for the recipe for her success, Delia points out that there is no successful project without 100% total dedication. Why did she choose to join the RBP team? Delia mentioned the common values shared with the team. It’s unlikely that someone will become a part of your morning talks or the projects you’re working on if you’re not close regarding values. People here are passionate about their work, they are creative, they are brave and they approach every project from the position of “I want to create useful and beautiful places for people”. ✨🤍 A thought from Delia? “Big things depend on small things done very well.” Just as a harmonious interior design is made up of many small pieces put in a balance, so every day is made up of many simple and small things. The more we are caught up in multiple projects, personal or professional, the more we tend to rush through them. But we should do it so that simple and small things are important because they dominate our lives. 🎓🥂 graduation celebrations are still going strong I honestly don't have any words. The growth as a designer, artists, academic and person over the last three years is unmeasurable and there just is no words to describe what this journey meant for me. It completely and utterly transformed my life and I am so greatful to have found animation through it and the world that has been split open for me to go discover.
