The HVACR cooling sector (refrigeration and AC of all types) now consumes about 20% of all electricity generated globally. That consumption could be cut to about 16% if owners could be incentivized to periodically get the heat transfer coils in those energy hogs cleaned! DM if you have a stake or interested in getting better energy efficiency into the HVACR cooling sector and we’ll share what we’ve learned.

The SS-M series, in streamline closed circuit systems which are recommended for frost prone and poor water quality situations. Antifreeze fluid is used to circulation through the collectors. The heat collected from the panels is transferred from the fluid pipes to the water tank by a heat exchanger. The circulator is regulated by a control unit on the water heater. This ensures the optimum use of the sun’s free energy. Copper coils exchanger can realize the cycle of solar energy and the cycle for electric heater or gas for supplementary energy to ensure you always have hot water on tap at any weather

One of our community members just ran into a significant issue during a heat pump installation. After upgrading their fuse to 80A, they discovered that the load from their electrified appliances - combined with solar - pushed their system over the limit. Even more concerning? Their DNO won’t allow anything above 80A, even dropping a neighbour’s 100A fuse down to 80A. Now, with an 8kW heat pump pulling 24A, they’re left waiting on a solution from Octopus Energy. This raises big questions as the UK moves toward full electrification. Have you had similar issues with your DNO or energy provider? Join the conversation here:
