Excellent discussion with leaders & ministers, led by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, on how to ensure secure, sustainable & responsible supplies of critical minerals for energy transitions IEA analysis shows this is a challenge that can be overcome with stronger policies & investment
The International Energy Agency (IEA) plays a pivotal role in guiding global efforts towards achieving net-zero ambitions. Reports such as the World Energy Outlook (WEO), Energy Technology Perspectives (ETP), and Net Zero Roadmap offer invaluable insights into the energy landscape and the steps needed to transition towards a sustainable energy future. Perseverance is the Key for all stakeholders.
How strong is strong enough to overcome this challenge? Are the EU leaders onboard in Baku?

1moIt is all a waste of time like COP29 and the previous COP summits. Climate change goals are extraordinarily expensive estimated recently at $75 trillion between now and 2050, unachievable and already bankrupting the EU. Developing countries can neither afford them now or in the future nor are Western countries fulfilling their repeated promises to help finance energy transition in developing countries. The notions of global energy transition and net-zero emissions are myths. They will never be achieved in 2050 or 2100 or ever. Dr Mamdouh G Salameh International Oil Economist Global Energy Expert
