ifm AU’s first Employee Representation Group! Our awesome ERG meets once a month for 2 hours to discuss innovative solutions for many business issues related to engagement, customer service, employee satisfaction, workplace environment, health and safety and so much more! Each team member represents an area/department of our business and have been identified from our management team as key #culturecarriers within our teams. Awesome terminology I learnt from Adam Grant Live earlier this year, the concept of key employees in our business that literally carry our culture and emulate, in ifm terms, our ‘IRIS’ values and the ideal ifm-way team member. Our ERG responds actively and consistently to our online Ideas and Improvements Box, where all members hold each other accountable to follow through on decisions and work towards the changes discussed. A team setting a great example towards healthy and productive change, that help progress our business towards reaching our goals. For this idea to work, you need to have a strong and dedicated ERG, psychological owners of their work, organised and committed to your business. As a HR Advisor, you should also be wary of how this additional responsibility may add more work to our employees. I will ensure our ERG gets their opinions across, and I will take on the bulk of the work to get it done, especially when it’s related to a HR topic.
